Ok, so, it's after X-mas. Fire Emblem is about set to get rolln', just gotta' make the places where everyone is. And if everyone is ready we can start brainstorming ideas.
I have a couple, but I think it's best to start off with the basics: what sort of genre are we feeling?and what time period, etc. medeval fantasy, space, modern day...a frothy blend of odd things (ex, a medeval fantasy sort of thing only everything is super hightech and scifi,) etc. we don't have much with scifi and aliens, but we seem to have lots of sucess with fantasy stuff.

ok, so so far we have avatar and star wars. cool, but quite different.
I was personally thinking we should do something, not completely based off a pre-existing story, just because that way all the stuff in it, like races places and other such shenanagins are all things we made so everyone understands it all. That's not to say we can't base some of this off of things from exisiting things.

How about this:
Our characters are "Champions" that fight in arenas for their world to settle disputes as a replacement for war. The system works pretty well, but there is secretly some stuff going on in the background by the people who run the "arena" and other organizations/governments in the world.
This way we can have some plot, some regular fighting in the "arenas", character interactions from before they joined this "League" of "Champions" and while they are in this "League", hidden backstories, plot twists, shadowy stuff, fun, etc.

I'm with Ink on the original idea thing, just because I feel they generally do better than other ones.
Outer's idea does sound fun, I could work with that. I'll probably think of some questions on it for further analysis....but I like it. Otherwise, I've got no ideas at the moment.

Maybe we should just put down some genres we want, or some basic, basic ideas..
Like im fine with something with options so a fantasy with many races would be good, a possible multi world so different kinds of people from each.
and scifi might not be bad either.

Well my idea could allow people to have some of their "champions" brought from other worlds via "summoners" to the world the RP takes place on.
And there doesn't have to be just humans.

Good, cause just humans is boring.
And I'm mostly a fantasy person, because I like my multiple races, and my many options and because my best peeps come from there. Preferably another world (or Outer's multi-world) because that's always a good time.
War of some kind always makes life fun....and as for timeline, medieval fantasy with a twist is kinda what I was thinking. Reminiscent of medieval times in some things like weaponry, but with some technology....you know, even for things like communication and such.

my only issue with outer's idea is it sounds a bit like the Passing. lol....heh....lol, it's funny because Ice just made a comment about L.O.L. ....heh.
ANYWAYS!
aura and I had brainstormed a couple ideas, one was revamping that dragon riders RP we suggested waaay back when, to make it simpler, with less set in stone places etc.
and another thing I had thought might be interesting, and CP its funny you mention a fantasy thing with some modern technology because that's what this idea is only on steroides. would be something where there is the whole medeval-magic and fighting fantasy, only it would take place so far in the future that slowly technolgy has gotten to the point where it can do things that previously only magic can do. And of course shenangins ensue.

lol, I guess I kinda like Outer's idea because it reminds me of the passing. Cause I do like that rp (when it lives) and the shenanigans that can happen because of the mixed worlds and cultures and what not.
As for the other idea, I think I'd want some more details about the rp. Cause it sounds interesting, I just like details.

I'm basically all for my idea and for reviving the Fire Emblem RP. Your idea sounds okay Ink, but I'm not really into super-advanced technology that much. Steampunk is cool because it's backwards technology that does modern stuff. Super advanced that acts like magic just makes me go "...Why not just have magic then?"
