Desiderius took his small victory with a slight upturn of his lips. He led Aleine out of the room and returned to commanding the forces.
"Viceroy! Castle Naxos has sent a report!" A soldier handed a message to Desiderius. Desiderius looked it over once. This time his smile was much bigger.
"Are Bryce and Altoné ready?" Desiderius asked a general.
"Yes sir. They have a transport ready."
"Good. And General Malvern is in position?" Desiderius asked.
"Yes."
"Alright. Listen up! " Desiderius spoke to the entire room. "We have Lavstin completely surrounded. Now is our chance to strike back. We will send in some of our best to infiltrate the city and destroy any rebel insurrection. Let us prepare, and attack." Desiderius looked confident as he spoke.
