Sapphire shook her head at Kris's comment, she couldn't imagine going through the inconvenience of ripping through or taking off a shirt everytime she wanted to fly, for six months straight. However, she knew that was Kris's decision so she didn't complain, "Suit yourself," She commented, figuring that after this was done she could offer to get him some specially made shirts, seeing as her family had contacts with those who made them out of necesity. She then looked to Zain, "This'll be interesting, eh? Good luck."

Kris gulps, Nabiki was going to be tough. He'd hoped to fight Roy, or Mortus, somebody he was familiar with. Instead, he'd gotten her as his first.

Illyana smiles and jumps up excitedly "Yes! I fight with Joe first! I was hoping I got one of the dragons! This should be fun eh Joe?" she smiles "Don't go easy because I'm a girl k? I deal with Mort, I can handle it."
Zain smiles at Sapphire "You too, this will be fun."
Mortus looks "Isaac...NIIIIIIICE! This will be great! I've wanted to fight you all year! You're strong. Even my dad saw that."
Axelle smiles "I'm sure this will be quite an enjoyable experiance."

"This is gonna be pretty sweet." He said.
Leah stared away at Kris.

"Just remember to leave some for me." Malus says to Illyana. Malus had not forgiven Joe at all for the events in the forest. In fact he had grown downright hostile to Joe, angered by his attack back then.
"I don't need luck." Roy says. "I got a few surprises in store for you." He says to Leah. "I've been learning more than magic from Lord Masamune. He's been teaching me moves."

I don't remember if Axelle is a second year or not but...well, we figured we might as well just throw them in here. Maybe Malus screwed up his first year final and has to take these or something, i dunno  )) "Give me to the afternoon to prepare?," Lance repeated what Merlin was doing while shaking his head. "If the suspense doesn't kill me Malus sure as heck will." Sighing, he said, "Well, I'll catch you later guys. I'm gonna go practice with my spear before the match. See ya then." He then walked off to his dorm, wondering how he'd win this match. Isaac nodded. "I admit, I'm excited to face you too Mortus. I didn't know your dad said I was strong.," he replied, throwing on that end part there with a some genuine surprise. "So, do we practice ahead of time? Or do we just...hang around and wait for the first match?" "I hope so.," Rami agreed with a smile. "If you'll excuse me though, I have to make sure something is working properly. I will see you in time for our match Axelle!," Rami said quickly before running off to the stables. He had to see if the whistle was working for use in these finals. "Huh, you know...I don't see Joe's twin sisters up there.," Kami commented to Nabiki and Zain. "I wonder why not?" |

"Black Dragon, dark humor." Roy sighs as he stares at Leah. "I wasn't trying to undermine you verbally Pretty kitty. I'm just telling you not to underestimate me. I've gotten tougher. Way tougher." He smiles. "After all I have to in order to fight alongside you."
"Dunno why." Nabiki says. "Might still be having issues from Joe and his old man maybe?"

"Let's just say getting zapped by lightning is never something I look forward to!," Lance said back to Malus, stopping at the door. "But it's cool dude. I'll see you at the match!" Leaving the auditorium, he continued to his room.
"Guess I'll practice up on that combo a little more to make sure I got it right. I may not be a dragon...or hell, I don't even know what those spear and gloves ARE turning me into, but I'm going to show I'm no pushover!," he said to himself. Leaning his head backwards into his arms, he smiled. "Yeah, this'll just be like some friendly competition thing. Kick some ass, get back in time for dinner."
"Ah, right, forgot about that.," Kami said, frowning. "I hope they resolve that issue. I hate it when families fight amongst themselves."

((OOC: Well, since no one has posted, I am forced to double post to get these finals started.)) Later that afternoon... "Alright students, I hope you are all prepared for the finals!," Merlin announced to the gathered up students. "Because now, I shall transport us all to THE ARENA!" With a flash of light and a large BOOM sound, the students all appeared in an observation room overlooking the entire battle arena. ((OOC: For a description of what the arena looks like, look at the flashback fight between Jen and Dani vs. Joe)) "Welcome, student, to the arena you all will be fighting in!," Merlin said happily, gesturing to the battlefield below their observation booth. "In this booth those of you who aren't currently fighting can watch the matches. Today I want to get through the first round of fights!" Waving his hand, Merlin made weapons appear on a wall behind them, consisting of swords, axes, spears, a scythe, daggers, and all sorts of other weapons. "If you need or want to use a weapon, you can use one of those. They all can work with the elements, but it is entirely up to you to use them." Clearing his throat, Merlin sounded suddenly serious as he said, "Each fight is strictly 1 on 1. There is no interference allowed. Healing potions are also prohibited. A match ends when either one contender is defeated or both contenders are defeated at the same time. If someone continues to fight even though they obviously are in no condition to continue, the fight will end. Also, I have the right to step in and end a fight if I so deem it necessary. In a related note, I also want you all to know that nothing in this arena is lethal or will cause permanent damage. I have specifically enchanted this arena to prevent any serious injuries from happening." He then smiled happily and asked, "Any questions?" "Yeah, I would like to know-," Lance began to say before Merlin interrupted him by saying, "Good, then let us get on our way! The first match is Kris vs. Nabiki! You may both grab a weapon from behind you if you wish. Otherwise, tell me when you are ready to begin." "Jeez, why even bother asking...," Lance mumbled to himself. ((OOC: Ok guys, the flashback fight is a good example of how Ice and I want fights to go. Don't post attacks actually hitting the opponent or what happens to your opponent. Post what it is your character is doing and then the other poster can react/post what happens to their character. However, don't think you can just infinitely dodge. We have things we will do to constant evaders . Also, I get that most of you have basically decided how the fights will end up and that's cool. Just make it interesting please! As usual, any other questions I didn't cover just PM me about.)) |
