"He's venting, i just informed him I let Argus leave us and take Shaylin with him." Dagren says.

"Wh...WHAT?" Sabrel stands up. "Are you mad?"

"Sit boy, and no I am quite sane." Dagren says. "Would you prefr keeping those that might betray in my midst? Or have me kill my own?"

"I...no, of course not. We are not like Ildor." Sabrel says.

"But would he not go to Rondar, or the rebels?" Rufina says.

"He might, or he might settle down with that woman and make some babies, who knows?" Dagren says. "If anything I can find them at any time so it of no concern."

Argus gets up. "Whoever is with him collect him and leave. Your money is no good here."

"Alright, you can solidify now." The boy says. Soon a mist forms around them and collects at on point, forming an armored knight holding a halberd.

"Are you Alright My Lord?" He asks.

"You put enough but do not let faith blind. You need to keep him from straying as well. Or to better put it you must save him from himself and his sorrow." Gregor says. "Your king and his ranks are rife with problems, it is up to you to find and correct them alongside the Princess."

"I'd eat anything you'd make gladly." Honzai says, usddenly looking annoyed. "I...jeez....you got a window? Ginza's like right outside."

"You don't know centaurs well, do you?" Noctis says.

"You do?" Raika asks.

"Dating one." Noctis says.

"Halt." Logos says. "We just came back from fighting your brothers, who seek to do anything to destroy the wall and restore your mother's power for their own whim. Do you serve such a selfish goal too or are you on our side?"

Dred nods, either way, he didn't mind. Rondar could always use men. "Well, for his sake it'll be the later eh? Least it's not fighting, just settling down. Can't blame a man for wanting that. Besides, she was one attractive lady. I'm a bit jealous.."

Rhis nods "Yes...I'd like to see him happy. I get the impression he never let go of mother...god I sound like my brothers already..." he sighs "And any problems in the King's ranks I will solve."

Freya nods and pulls aside a curtain, revealing a window "There you go."

The figure turns and looks back at them "Well, I want the wall to be destroyed when the time is right. Until then, it would go against what mother has done. Does that help?"

"Not really." Vortigern says.

"Heh, my you are different than Vito...funny how that works." the figure chuckles "You want to know what side I'm on? Why, my own. We are a large family, you can't place us on two sides. Now, if you want to know where that fits in with you, I'm planning on helping you through the forest aren't I?"

"That doesn't say much." Vortigern replies

"True, true." the figure sighs "Fine, I supose my views are closer to yours. I want the wall to serve its purpose. It's not time to destroy it yet. We really should get on with things boys, mother is waiting. We should not waste time discussing sides. We are all going to see her, isn't that enough?"

Dagren couldn't help but laugh.

"Yes, I suppose that's true..." Sabrel relents, not wanting to press this at such a happy time.

"Still it was good of you to save the Master. I thank you. Not many are accepting of one of his kind." The spearman says.

"His kind?" Argus asks.

The boy smiles, revealing a pair of fangs. That's when Argus noticed the lack of a shadow.

"A vampire?" Argus says.

"A dhampir actually, a Daywalker." The boy says. "It's bad enough I'm wanted by the fools who run this country, but I have that stigma as well. But forgive me for not introducing myself, I am Arcturus Vel Tromonde and this is my knight, Claudius Velsect."

"Arcturus...the former Chancellor?" Argus stammers.

"Yes, son of Dagren, the one Vadris framed for assassination and got cast out of the Kingdom without so much as a chance to defend myself over 1000 years ago. That Arcturus." Arcturus says. "And I came here hoping to find you."

"My you have matured in all of this time Cousin. it seems there was some benefit to how things turned out." Phillipe says.

"What do you want dumbass?" Honzai says. "I thought I told you not to pester me on dates anymore."

"Queen's sending us to get your bro, figured you might want to come." Ginza says.

"Ya damn right it is." Dred nods with a smile "You'll see, he'll be writning letters about little'uns running about and talking 'bout the misses wantin' him to put in a fence but he just don't have the time what with all the work the roof needs..."

Shaylin nods "Well, that certainly worked out well." she says, finding his identity more amusing than shocking. He certainly didn't look much like a chancellor.

Vortigern nods to Logos, and then starts towards the figure, looking him over "So, what do we call you?"

"Now that we are all friends I can tell you, a man like me has many enemies...I've had lot's of time to make them though." The man smiles "You may call me Rowan."

Rufina and Vayne laugh with their father but Sabrel remains quiet. he was clearly not amused at all.

Lilittan was obviously scared as she hid behind Shaylin.

"We are both his victims, and I am close friend of Thimos. We fought together 800 years ago. You have nothing to fear from me Miss." Arcturus assures her.

"We could try Rondar." Noctis says. "Rumor has it he's clashed with some of the Kings main force. I heard about it about 20 minutes before the meeting."

Shaylin smiles at Lillitan "He knows your uncle, that's good." she puts an arm around her shoulders to make her feel safer.

"Well...to be fair in certain aspects that's not hard." Rhis teases "You're far better at talking your way in an out of situations though. You are still good with words right?"

Luca looks at Travis "You've gone silent....have I unnerved you?"

Rowan nods "Yes, I guess I am somewhat of a legend now aren't I? Silly really..." he chuckles.

"Yes! The mystery is solved...ish." Rowan laughs "I can see why people thought me dead. I did my fair share of traveling after we put my sweet little Sylph asleep. Oh, my daughter. She got very ill. That's the right story."

"But, that had to be..." Vortigern begins

"A very long time ago yes." Rowan nods. the green light parted the trees in front of them as they walked. "She's still sleeping as far as I know. Damn Caedmon...lost her. I'll have to get him back for that one..." he sighs. "she'll be ok so long as she is in her tomb."

"It'sss not you, it's Argusss. The boy isss jealousss." Vossh says.

"Still your tongue Mongrel." Sabrel says, putting a hand on the hilt of his blade. "I will have none of that here."

"I will have no violence here Young Man." Cordelia comes in with the servants carrying in food. "Sit down."

"I in fact seek your safety." Arcturus says. "Come, we should relocate and talk elsewhere. Too many eyes and ears here."

"Are you sure?" Lilittan asks.

"See it this way then, I have a Phoenix empowered Sorceress, a half giant and your parasitic friend to contend with should I harm you, plus Thimos and your mother. There's easier ways to commit suicide, trust me." Arcturus says.

"Not this again, heard enough if it from Vanora thanks." Phillipe says. "And ignore him, I am quite the linguist as I ever was."

Dred nods, and says no more on it. "He needs a few drinks..." he thinks, until he gets a waft of the smell of food.

Shaylin nods "He's right, we won't let anything happen to you. Not that I see any danger in this."

Rhis chuckles and smirks "No, no I think I'd quite like to hear more about this cousin." he says, in a teasing way.

Luca nods "Oh...." he shrugs "Hmm....humans are strange....now I really want to meet my stepfather....he's human...I wonder if her thinks like you do...."

Freya nods "Ok...I want your family to like me too is all." she looks at him "Do...do you think your father would approve of me?"

"A valid point...." Rowan nods "If she is not, then I do have the resources to find her. Mother will be able to tell if she is or not."

Vortigern nods, understanding. "So, is that why you are going to see her?"

"In part yes, but also, there are certain....events that I can feel are about to take place, and those that I fear will too soon."

Sabrel does as told reluctantly as the servants pass out the food. Sure enough it was steak and potatoes.

"I can't say. The old man was in a bad place last I saw him. Borderline genocidal over Mom's death. The war with Nostroth pushed him over the edge and he started delving into magics too dangerous for demons to use. I...I don't know if he'll approve of me, let alone you." Honzai says.

"I don't know. I also heard they were routed by a secondary force and fled...but I know not where." Noctis says. "If there was a way to contact them."

Kurak holds up his hand. "He hasss been trying to treat with me like you. I can find him. The one called Thimosss left me the meanssss."

Dred looks at the food and smiles because it looked better than anything he was used to. He is then suddenly hit with the fear of them thinking he ate like an animal. He decides to put forth a concious effort to be more careful.

Shaylin smiles and waits to follow Arcturus.

Rhis laughs "Alright, alright. But, I will be hearing the whole story. And I'm sure you'd much rather give your side before I go asking your sister."

"That's good..." Luca says "But don't go calling for my father yet...I imagine that would upset your friend..."

Freya nods "I see...well, we'll just have to see to it he does." she says and rests her head on him.

"That has something to do with it." Rowan says "There are many forces at work here. Your war with Ildor is...a factor. It is in a way, housing my concerns. Giving those I fear are impatient, a justification to their acts. And, it shall make it hard to keep the heir of my power on the right path."

"Shall we go then?" Claudius asks, seeing as Arcturus had begun to head up.

However, the magic required a sacrife of one of three things; mind, body or power. Well, I couldn't lose my body because how whould I hold my child when we were reunited? Mind was right out, I wouldn't forget my child, that would be counterproductinve." he pauses "So, I gave up my power, but I'm a sneeky bastard and played the system. I gave the power up but ensured it would be given to one of my blood. My little brother is the one the power has deemed worthy."

"Which one?" Vortigern asks

"Ah, right.." Rowan chuckles "Rhisiart. He has my power of breaking down magic. Anti-magic...mystic-slaying. Call it what you will he has it."

"No worries, eat how you eat. No one will make comments. Bad enough they tease sweet little Vossh." Cordelia stares at Rufina and Sabrel as she says that.

"Well, I don't think anyone has realized it yet. And Ildor is not the one I worry about. Vadris and Loruel....They both want the wall destroyed, and Rhisiart could do that easily. I fear they might find a way to use him through his new love." Rowan says "So I've....made arrangements."

Travis looks at Luca. "You know, you don't gotta worry about your Mom. She's happy and well looked after. i can get how you miss her and I'd like to see something done..maybe less drastic as taking down the wall but...you'll see her again."
