name: Tanner Swan

age: 24

moral stance: good

appearance: short dark brown hair, usually spiked up with gel. grey eyes and glasses. usually wears basic t-shirts with more elaborate jackets or overshirts, always un buttoned. he hardly ever wears anything but jeans, even to formal events.

history: lives alone with his sister, who came to live with him after their parents died. He's viewed by those who know him as an incredibly strong person, having managed to both suport his sister and stay in cullinary school without quitting, despite their hard times. He dos't view it as strength, so much as smart use of the money their parents left them. he works at a local diner as a chef. He as the same powers his father had, which gives him good insight to what he will be able to do someday. this knowledge also gives him great fear, because it was an accidental explosion caused by his father that killed his parents. this fear has caused him to fear his powers, but at the same time, he knows he has to master them to avoid a similar accident. this inner turmoil has caused him to be a very reserved person will all but his sister, and closest friends. the only connections he has with others with powers are a few friends of his parents who he doesn't talk to that often

powers: he can instantaneously change the state of matter (ex, ice to water. ice to steam etc). he does this by using energy he can spontaneously create (fusion without the uber heat!) to excite the molecules. that being said, it is also possible for him to not concentrate the energy on changing the state of an object, but rather to create a sudden expolsion of energy.(in fact a lot of this happened when he first was learning to use his powers), however these are random and require absolute concentration in order to get anywhere near a target and is very dangerous.

though he is not capable of it yet, his father was able to acctually separate out the individual elements in matter and charge the subatomic particales in order to change what element the matter was.

weaknesses: his powers can be random and aren't great for fighting. he is hesitant to use his powers out of fear, which has made him reletively inexperianced with them.

paraphenilia: cell phone. swiss army knife. occassionally has a set of knives on him for when he gos to work.


name: Wynonna (Wyn) Swan

age: 17

moral stance: good

appearance: long dark brown hair, light grey eyes. usually wears a skirt or short dress. likes fancy hair pins.

history: Tanner's little sister. she is much more outgoing and energetic than her brother. she understands his fear of his powers and is always supportive of him. she is a typical teenager, likes music etc. unlike her brother, she has not developed any powers yet, and she doubts she will.

powers: She generates a field that increases the powers of other acended. this effects all acended other than herself.

she also has absolute imunity, meaning other powers such as mind control and copy abilities, don't work on her.

((the immunity effects others differently, depending on their power. if it is something like mind control, or teleportation then that person can only not use their powers on her. but they still work on others. if the person has a power that in general cannot be directly targeted (marshalls magma body, etc.) the powers are completely nullifed to everyone.

if you are unsure on how they work with your characters ask me ^^))

weaknesses: she's a regular human... her powers are new, ansh she has little control over their range. in general, the feild is small right now, about five feet around.

also, absolute defense is absolute, not even positive powers can effect her, such as healing. she cannot increase her own power.

name: Carson Hill

age: 18

moral stance: neutral

appearance:

history: Carson was orphaned at a very young age. when he was 6, the orphanage he was living at noticed him acting strangely in his room. they entered to find him manipulating a strange blobby black substance. Worried about this, they took him to a doctor. Sooner or later, the FBI showed up, have obviosly heard about this strange power. they took him away and have spent the past few years trying to uncover the secrets of his ability. he was put through many tests, and has been very unhappy, despite best efforts to connecct with him. though many agents have tried to befriend him, only one has suceeded in the slightest. most of his grreatest companions are his minions. recently he ran away from the base he was kept at, using his powers naturally. he currently is running, trying to find anywhere to go.

powers: he can use his blood (which is black) to create creatures, or blobs. they take a generally featureless appearance, and only varry slightly in posture and number of limbs. ((if you've ever seen Howl's moving castle, the witch of the Waste's minions are a good example, that or no face from Spirited Away)). a single drop of blood can expand to either three regular minions, or one big one. he does not need to cut himself to do this, however it does help. he can simply pass blood through his skin, but only a little at once

another use of his powers he came up with is, because his blood is unique, it has no blood type, so if he were to send a small blob into a person's body, obviously it would do bad things

weaknesses: he is very nervous, especially in stressful sitations (like fights) which causes him to freak out and not think clearly.

he can rarely use his powers to put into other people's blood, because it requires them to have a cut.

obviously, if he looses too much blood, not only can he not use his powers, but he'll pass out -.-

fears: (I see these as weaknesses really...) needles (like doctors use), he freaks out if he even sees one. piercing flesh, (like slashes etc.) he can't stand the sight or flesh being cut, sliced etc. both of these cause him to panic

paraphenilia: a walet with about $50 in it.



name: Agent Andrew Slater

age: 32

moral stance: good

appearance: neatly combed light brown hair, blue eyes. usualy in either an FBI agent suit, or a light blue dress shirt and kacki pants.

history: an FBI agent, he is the one who was as close to a guardian as Carson ever had. Through the years, he has tried to connect with him, with seemingly little breakthroughs. he is however one of the only people Carson trusts in the least bit. he is currently one of the agents searching for him. though he doesn't realize it, he has very sligt powers, which he interprets as excelent deductive skills.

powers: he get's 'hunches' about the locations of people or things, in other words, randomly, he will know where a person or thing is. (i believe it's called psychic locator?)

weakness: his powers are incrediblly weak and unreliable. he cannot use them on will and they happen at random moments.

paraphenilia: a glock 9mm. FBI badge, walet, cellphone, bullet proof vest, earpiece communicator, taser! flashlight....you know, fbi stuff

name: Alexis Harrison

age: 22

moral stance: evil

appearance:

history: lived in a small town growing up. her powers developed in middle school and she ofen would use them to get what she wanted. However, she felt alienated from normal people, so one day she decided to leave and go into modeling, using her powers to quickly get good jobs and be fairly sucessful. despite the good amount of money she was getting, she was still rather lonely. one day she met Bishop (a character aura's gunna' post) at a show and they hit it off. when she learned he too had powers, she told him about hers and they have been together ever since. she quit modeling to travel with him. one day they were approached by someone from the Midnight Organization, and they joined.

powers: she can hypnotize people with her eyes and voice.

she is also capable of psionic blasts. aka, she can psycicly overload a person's mind, causing pain.

weaknesses: when she hypnotizes people, she can usually only control one person at a time. any more requires extreme concentration. she's not good at physical fighting, and she is, despite her moral stance, a compassionate person.

name: Wolfrik Abendroth

age: 18

moral stance: good

appearance: crazily spiked and styled black and blue hair(dyed of course), bright blue eyes, usualy wears punk style clothes. has a long trench coat he wears out in public.

personality: he is energetic, outspoken and friendly. his personality can make him sort of annoying at times, but he doesn't care much. he wants to be a musician and constantly sings (luckily he's good) he loves the ladies and is an outrageous flirt. when he gets angery, he tends to start speaking more german (he tosses bit's into his english) or he starts to have a noticable accent.

bio: born and raised in Germany. His father is wealthy businessman, and his mother an american who had gone there on vacation, met his father and stayed there. this being the case, he is fluent in both german and american english. when he was very very little, his parent's noticed that he ate, a lot, but was not over weight, in fact he was very underweight. their family doctor attributed this to an over active matabolism. however, over the years it became more evident that this wasn't the case, when one day his parents noticed him talking suposedly to himself. they looked at him closer, and saw that in fact he was talking to four strange bug/reptile-like creatures that had emerged from his back. (think Cloud of darkness from FF3/Dissidia). his father hired a sccientist in his company to examine the creatures. they found that they were mutated parasites, that had connected with his spinal cord. they had brains of their own, and were using the food Wolfrik ate as fuel, hense why he had to eat a lot. However other than that, they were harmless. His parents, were thrilled that their son was so unique. So they embraced the parasites, and continued liveing as if they were pets, hiding them from the public though.

one day, Wolfrik was captured by the Midnight Organization. When he heard them talk about tying to remove his parasites, he knew he had to escape. So, when they tried to bring him in to preform the proceedure, he broke away and ran. He had almost been re-captured when Gabriel and co. saved him. he asked more about who they were and what they did, fell in love and joined whether they wanted him or not. He then called his parents to tell them he was ok and explained what had happened. his parents accepted what he wanted to do, and even opened a bank account with funds for the group.

powers: he can understand any language, includding binary

the parasites are reletively intelligent and have superhuman strength. they cant talk but can make noises that express their feelings. the 'necks' of the parasites can stretch out much longer than their actual length. (much like rubber bands) if cut off, they can grow back.

weaknesses: he can only understand other languages, not speak them. aside from this small ability he is pretty much human.

when the parasites stretch out very far, they become much easier to cut off. and they take hours to regenerate. not to mention, Wolfrik has to eat a lot in order to suport all four parasites and himself.

name: Elijah Thompson

age: 57

moral stance: good

appearance: bald, with dark brown skin. his eyes are always closed, and sometimes he wears sunglasses to cover them. wears jeans and long sleeve shirts, always unbuttoned.

personality: friendly and noble, believe that unltimately those with evil intentions will always be destroyed. Has a positive outlook on life.

bio: An ex-researcher, when he was younger he was part of a scienticfic team, funded by his father that secretly tried to discover the key to what caused the powers in people. They had found others with powers, so a few of the people working on the project had them, including Elijah. They were attacked by the Midnight Organization one day, and all of their research taken, as well as those who had powers. Their facility was destroyed in a massive explosion that killed all inside, including Elijah's father. In their custody, Elijah learned of the horrible things they did to those who opposed them. He escaped with two of the others who had been taken, (one of which was Tanner and Wyn's mother), in the process, losing his sight. The three faked their own deaths to avoid being pursued, and using money from Elijah's father, they built a large mansion, with the intent of creating a place where others could come to hide. Elijah befriended many through the years with this place, including Gabe. He keeps an eye on everyone he meets who chooses to leave the mansion with his powers and tries to send help to Gabe and Gabriel when they need it.

powers: He can locate anyone on the planet that he knows, or can get an aura of.

weakness: he's blind for one, and also, he needs to be able to somehow trace the person he looks for, be it their appearance, or the signature of their mind.

moral stance: good

appearance:

bio: one of the inmates who escaped with James. She had lived with Elijah for most of her life, her father being the other who had escaped with him years ago. she left the mansion to explore the world, and find others to bring there. during her search, she was captured.

powers: she can gain information from things she touches. ex. who owned it, what they were like, their goals. She can also gain the skills of the people who owned the items (ex. if she touches the handle of a helicopter she could fly it, Picasso's paintbrush, she could paint a picasso-like painting.)

weakness: she only has the skils from the items as long as she touches them.

paraphenilia: a cell phone, a sword that once belonged to a samurai, (had to steal it back from her captors as they escaped)

name: Barcello Diovetti
age: 24

moral stance: evil

appearance: bald, tall and muscular, slightly greyish skin, but not unnaturally so. has tatoos on his chest and back. wears shorts and a jacket that is left open, without a shirt underneath. wears a grey bandana, and usually has a cigarette in his mouth.

bio: long time member of the Midnight organization, he joined when he was very young. at that point he was very weak and never knew why. the organization helped him discover why he was so weak and found a solution. he is faithful to the organization.

powers: he can turn into, breath and manipulate smoke (toxic gasses). when in gas form, he does stay in one place and won't be blown apart.

weaknesses: he needs to smoke a cigarette constantly because pure air is harmful to him and weakens him.

what's in his wallet?: lot's and lots of cigarettes, company communicator (made to turn to smoke with him) pants that turn into smoke with him. a knife.
