Soooooo.....i have this idea. Its kinda animeish, but. The premise is that a group of kids are apart of this school. (high school) and at some point before the story starts, the kids began to develop different mental powers. As the plot develops, there will be bad guys and what not, but what sets these kids apart is that while being psychic, they are able to sense shifts in reality. Since the "event" that caused them all to break out in powers happened, more often than not, a tear in reality happens, and monsters and demons are able to escape a different plain of existence and come to earth. The normal evil creatures and world destruction themes with these guys happen.
Because of their gifts, the students are actually able to see the rips in reality, and can send projections of themselves into these rips in order to close them and weaken the demons hold over earth.
Needs some work, but what do you guys think?

I like the sound of this. couple questions/things we should think of:
-what will the limitations of the powers be? will it be a stick to purely psychic/mental stuff?
-if this is semi-animeish, will my senpai notice me?

Powers: I was thinking of limiting it to like mental powers at first, like telekinesis, pyrokinesis...other kinds of kinesis's lol. But mostly mental stuff with the exception of a few characters.
As stated, with these demon and spiritual entities that will be trying to escape from what I'll be calling the void, with the proper motivation, deals for power can be struck. However, demons will be demons, and normally will attempt to corrupt and control our psychic friends.
Now the void itself isn't a physical reality. Its a purely mental and psychological realm of existence. While non psychic people cant enter the realm, people can be affected or even killed by the demons and spirits from the void.
Also.....sempai may notice you, but I just cant be certain :/

Persona 4 is one of the best games I have ever played. It's a sub series of Shin Megami Tensai. XD aura and I cosplayed as Yu and Yukiko this year for Toracon lol

kk, it is done.
oh, btw how do these rips to the void manifest? Is it like a physical tear looking thing with swirls and creepy looking fog pouring out? Or can they blend in better? For instance, in P4, the characters entered the other world through tvs. So could these rips be as simple as something like that, or a certain doorway?
shoot, also how do we want to organize where we post? One big thread or separate threads for different locations like Fates? (I'm leaning towards the latter. It makes it easier to keep track of where our people are.)

I was thinking we could do it like in nine hearts, diff chapters and whatnot. In all honesty, I sorta got lost in fates....alot lol. Ummmm I was thinking of doing it in episodes so to speak, like chapters in our other rps. Each "episode" would have a theme and its own baddie.
I'm thinking Japan.

As to how they enter, I was thinking sorta like a bleach meets persona thing. When a void opens, normal humans wont notice them unless its a class 5 tear or higher, ( I will have a ranking system.) otherwise, the area to them just feels super cold and they don't feel safe in the area. Other times, if demons escape from the portals some might try possessing humans and making them do bad things.
As to how they enter, upon them finding a portal, or doorway. There is a special item that lets them leave there physical body behind and allows there inner mind self to venture into the void to try and close it. Now while their mind is away, their bodies tend to do a few things, either drop to the floor in a catatonic state, until the mind returns, stare blankly at walls, some might even just go on with their day, not realizing that something is missing from themselves.
