Ok, so, I know we already have, like, 8 up right now, and maybe another 2-3 suggest by others (Zoids, Lemuria, etc.), but I have this really cool idea that I thought would be pretty fun, so bear with me here.
See, one of the main things annoying me right now is the fact that at least 5 of the RPs have fallen into what I call "Mundanity". Essentially, that means that there isn't really anything exciting going on, no one is posting a whole a lot, and most of the posts are just filler. To give examples, look at Transmogrify. No one has posted there in a whole week and that one was zooming ahead for the first 2 weeks after it started. The Crack RP is also going kind of slow, no one is in the Resident Evil RP, only two people ever post in 2317, we dont' really have any plot happening in Clank, and even Nine Hearts is sort of in a rut right now what with everyone just sort of eating lunch and there being no action.
So, my plan is to remedy this situation. I can't exactly force people to post on RPs and I can't make them get on more often. So, I thought, why not make an RP that people want to post on everytime they get on the site, or at least quite often? That's what Miyazaki is like right now (granted, it was the first RP on here, but anyways). So, enough chit chat, here's my idea.
Back in high school, me and my other friend Dylan had worked together on this little screenplay-dialogue-story from about the middle of Sophomore year till we graduated. He sort of started it and did about half of the stuff that happened; I took control of it basically from the end of Junior year and through all of Senior year. The whole premise was basically me, him, and my other friend James (for those of you who know me, you'll know we hung out, like, everyday together at school, so no surprise why we're our own main characters
) we're playing a game of Brawl and then, for no real reason, we get sucked into the game.
From that, it went from us going around in random video game worlds, to pawning abilities off of video games, to coming back to the real world after some how some random villan that manifested from Dylan's subconscious entered the world and released Dialga and Palkia, fucking shit up, to a sort of mini tournament, to 2 weeks of normalcy, to us suddenly losing our memory and getting stuck in random tv shows (first sonic, then Soul Eater, then no real place, just some random forest with Castlevania stuff, to then

, entirely made up locations), trying to collect gems that pertained to one of the 4 classical elements and held the power to restoring our memories, to finding out that the evil villan from the first arc was behind all of this again, to getting sent into the future, two going up against these 3 evil death knights, to finding out those death knight were really the future dylan's split up personalities that he did after trying to enter a different reality to stop his love (made up character named Kat) from dying, to us going back to Dunkirk finally, to finding it under attack by said villain in a giant flying castle, to, finally, going through the castle to reach the top and defeat the villain (JESUS, THAT'S A MOUTHFUL! But, yeah, thats a short summary).
Ok...sorry about that...but that's how in depth it got. The point is, I totally, absolutely, positively LOVED that whole story (which, btw, was called plainly "The Story") we did (and never finished, stupid school ended and I got caught up in college preparation) and I remember just about exactly how it went.
So, you're thinking, "Cool story bro. But what's your REAL point?" What I'm trying to suggest is a new RP, one that is based off of that entire story (minus me, dylan, and james as the main characters [thats where you guys come in ^^]), an RP that I already have a huge plot set for, one that never falls prone to "filler" or "stalling", one constantly full of action (Yeah...there was a lot of fighting ^^)!!!
So, how'd it go, is that if you want to join, you'd for one play as yourselves. Saves the trouble of making up some character. I'll probably let you guys make up random characters you can run into/meet/do shit with, w/e, as the story progresses, but as a start, it's just that. You guys, for some reason, will all be playing the same video game (doesn't have to be Brawl), and get sucked in. And from there, shit will hit the fan. I have, like, at least 25 Villains I can throw in (all in varying degrees of difficulty), an arsenal of other characters, tons of locations, and a whole plot. For the plot, I'll have to either A.) Make me, Dylan, and James and control them with you guys along with other shit or B) Not use them and control all of the NPC [kinda like a DM or something] for you guys to, I dunno, "deal with" and stuff.
Now, I know, it doesn't sound very "free willed" and "let you do whatever" right here, but in there you could do just about everything you can do in the other RPs. It's just, I'll kinda be driving the story forward, forcing you guys to act, interact, fight, talk, be in the action, so that the story doesn't just "stall" into filler.
And yeah, thats just about the jist of my idea. If you like it, post here, and if I get enough people, maybe we could start it up or something. I know I'd totally love to because story, it's like my start into creative writing, my "first piece of art" so to speak, and it's just so...perfect for an RP.
