As I said in the "queue" topic thread ink started a couple days ago, I've got this little idea for an RP I want to do. I'm not saying to do it anytime soon or within a month or whatever unless people really want to, but I figured I throw it out there anyways.
I'm a really, really, really die hard fan of Megaman. I've played pretty much every game ever made from all of its different series, from Classic to X to Zero to ZX to Legends to Battle Network to Starforce and even some spin off titles.
Since I'm pretty sure most, if not all of you have never heard of Megaman before (Even though it's been around since the 80s T.T), then allow me to explain the basic concept. Basically every Megaman game involves you playing as that series current incarnation of "Megaman", who is usually a robot super hero with an arm cannon that can acquire weapons and power ups of the various "bosses" he beats. And, in every game, you do that by going through seperate levels for each boss, fighting said boss at the end. Most bosses are weak to other bosses weapons, etc. And at the end of the game you fight the evil mastermind behind that games events.
Basically I love it and its really fun...to me and other die hard fans. Still, I think a Megaman RP would be awesome because it's basically super-powered peoples fighting each other, going through levels, getting power ups, hell, even some games (Zero, ZX, X, Battle Network, Legends, Starforce) had quite a bit of story to them and *cough*drama*cough*, so it could be really fun.
How I would do it basically is that, if I get enough people, I'd probably go with a "ZX series" setting, since that's the most modern one that holds onto the classic playstyle. In that one there are people and androids called "reploids" that live together after wars have been settled from the previous "X" and "Zero" series. In ZX, there are these transformation modules called "biometal" that allowed special chosen ones to use them to transform into "Megamen", which are more like mechanical suits that let them have all sorts of cool abilities that most people who've played Megaman games would recognize as abilities previous characters in the series would use (Like Zero from the "X" series or Leviathan from the "Zero" series).
What I'd do is I'd let you guys make a character and their own biometal that would let them turn into the "Model (INSERT LETTER HERE) Megaman", giving you access to probably a set amount of offensive AND a couple utility/defense abilties. You could be Human or Reploid etc.
I'd also need 8 "Mavericks", which are these other kinds of robots that don't need biometals because they basically are these monstrous machines with their own abilities, usually based off of animals (For example: Fist Leo, Toxic Seahorse, etc.). They would be the main badguys, working for the main bad guy that I would probably make up since I'd make this a non-storyline related spin off thing...though I could use a few characters.
Now, your guys using biometals DON'T HAVE TO be good guys either. They could be rogue, bad guys, or good guys, totally your choice.
Well, that's the summary of it anyways. If I get some people interested in this, I'll get more into it but...I hope this gets more attention than the last idea I suggested did, lol.
