Carrie Steward has lived in Amaldar all her life. Her mother works at a nearby bakery, her father a stonemason. For the 10 years of her life she has known nothing but joy in her life. She has her friends, who even now she plays with, a home to lay every night and loving parents. She also has dreams, simple ones. A husband, children, and to eventually take over her mother's shop when she wished to retire. But all that means nothing as of this moment. Five minutes ago a golden man appeared near her home. His appearance one of elegant power, the a frightening kind of beauty. The man stood there until armed guards came up, yelling the words monster at him. It seemed he man didn't care, and was waiting for something. He didn't move until a few seconds ago until one of the guards tried stabbing him with his spear. Li stands back in the distance, watching the carnage. "*sigh* Necromancers always make my job more difficult..." he mutters as he begins to send what souls he could on to the afterlife "Animating the corpses right after you kill them...now I have to wait around until your done with your undead hoard...couldn't have waited five minutes to let me move the soul...I don't care about the bodies..."

"This is..." He had begun to regret coming here. But there was no way Cornelius could have refused a request from Gregor. But what he had just seen was monstrous. People around him were running, scared and there were monsters bringing the dead to life. There was only one course left. "May I be remembered..." He grabs his spear and turns to the field of battle and charges. "FOR THE KING!!!"

"How amusing." Durmalga says. "Considering this town was named after my Grandfather you'd think I'd be choked up but...I'm not." He then sees Cornelius' charge. "Awww...they think they can fight back."

As Cornelius charges he sees a figure standing in the midst of the rising corpses. The Vapire Lord Kilborne. "You there, why are you attacking these people?" Cornelius yells. "What kind of coward are you?" Kilborne hisses. "A fat greasy meal is mouthing of to ME?" He grabs his hammer. "You'll die for that!!!" Kilborne throws his hammer at Cornelius, hitting him square in the stomache, sending him flying. "Hmmm...I could use a new jester. I might keep you for that." "KILBORNE!!" Durmalga yells out. "BEHIND YOU!!" He says as a large metal object on a chain flies and strikes him.  "WE ARE THE GREY GUARDIANS. THOSE WHO ATTACK AMALDUR MUST FACE US!!" Before them were a small squad of enchanted golems, a protectorate of the Grey Family. Cornelius coughs up blood as he looks up. "At least...it wasn't...an innocent...who got hurt..." "No just a moronic human."  This man, who just appeared beside Cornelius, drops down to one knee. "I know who you are, and who you're tied to. You are reckless, friend of Gregor." The man puts his hand on Cornelius and chants. "Hold still, I'm healing you." Kilborne hisses. "These pigs want a fight. I say we give it." |

Sukya clings to Kyrzon as he sheilds her from some flames. They had been in an Inn when kyrzon had grabed her and thrown down a potion that blocked the flames. she feels him pick her up and charge through the flames before the roof came down on them. she sees blurs of red, orange and the animated corpses of the townspeople, some she even recognized.
Kyrzon sets her down in a safe alley where the buildings had been made of stone and weren't on fire "You ok?" he asks her
She nods her head and coughs a bit "What was that?"
"Powerful demons...Sardoth's fifteen..." he says.
"We need to get out of here then..." Sukya says
"No, there are people fighting, we have to help them. Tell me when you've caught your breath, we'll go around this building...flank them." he mutters, watching some of the corpses to make sure they hadn't noticed them
Sukya frowns, figuring he would say that. she stands and cautiously draws her sword "Ok..."
"Alright, let's move." Kyrzon smiles and draws a sword.

He is suddenly enshrouded by blue energy as he flies forward. "RAAAAHHHHHHHH!!" Kilborne barely sees him crash into him. Duras quickly draws his blade and swings it, slicing through part of his chest plate, cutting him. "You...savage. How dare you?" Kilborne snarls. "No, how dare YOU Hellspawn." Duras says before punching him back. Kilborne goes flying landing a few feet short of Atronus. "For him to wound my husband so...this one is clearly no human." Lysera says. Durmalga looks at Duras. "What are you?" "I am the protector of this land. AND YOU ARE NOT WELCOME HERE!!" Duras glows with energy again and flies right for them, only to be blocked by Garrok. Duras flies back and reverts to normal, pulling out his bow and arrow. Garrok merely laughs. "How amusing." |

"Laugh at this!" Kyrzon shouts as he leaps down at Garrok from the side, using magic to turn the sound of his voice into a powerful blast that causes the ground to crack.
Sukya sneaks over to Cornelius and kneels down next to him "You're ok right?" she asks, keeping an eye out for enemies.

Li looks, seeing a portal appear. He frowns "Tevram...what have you done...Vinitia's daughter...these animals are going to salivate the second they see her....hmm. Could be a decent distraction..."

Garrok is pushed back a bit but seemed unphased. "Good attempt but your execution sucks."
Suddenly an arrow hits him in the face and explodes. "AAHHHH!!"
"How's that for execution?" Duras says.
"PROTECTS THE CITIZENS WITH YOUR LIVES!!" Gilbert says as he emerges from the portal.
"Brother...Amaldur..." Hector stands there, mortified.
"If you have time to talk, you have time to fight." Grgor draws his blade and rushes into battle.
"He has a point for once in his life." Faeral says before following.

Vanora steps out and looks around. She has an angry frown from the scene "Who could do this..." she mutters, before moving forward to do something about it.
Hyoma and Brigada come behind her. Brigada charges after Hector to be at his side. Hyoma summons his wings and tries to catch up to Vanora. "Princess!"
Castor, Vito and Loruel arrive next. "Castor, if anyone tried to harm Vanora draw their fire. I'll try to lessen the blows. Loruel, try to get distract who you can." Vito says.
Loruel nods and takes flight.
Castor charges forward, ready to defend Vanora "Loruel call Arwin!"

"How pretty...I want that one." Kilborne says walking towards Vanora.
"Fuck that." Kurok materializes in front of him and headbutts him square in the face. "You ain't touching my sis Pencil dick." he cracks his neck. "First you, then I settle things with Garrok."
"Traitor...do you dare turn your back on the pacts between us and your wife?" Garrok yells.
"I declare war on you. How does that sound?" Kurok says, flipping him off. "I never liked you anyway."
"Quit showing OFF!!!" Gregor says , slashing a nearby demon in half.
"Let me have my fun Human." Kurok says. "I just put my family in danger for you, be grateful."

"Princess." Cornelius gets up. "I have to...help her."

"Princess?" Sukya asks and looks at Vanora. She looks at Kurok as well "She...she must be the sister father mentioned...Tell me, is she related to Rowan the Mysticslayer?" she asks Cornelius.

Vanora scowls at Kilborne "Thank you Kurok." she says "Now...this fire...something has to be done..." she mutters and tries to remember how she had used magic before.

"Interesting. So this is Vinitia's child. the one who distracts my Prince so. She'll need to be removed." Durmalga fires a magical blast at Vanora.
A figures flies from the portal and tackles Vanora out of the way.
"You have to stop daydreaming." Iago says, having taken the brunt of the fall. "Get to cover if you're doing that."
"You dare Durmalga?" A sinister voice says as Thimos appears from behind.
"So you're here too Thimos? Good, maybe my boredom will pass easily with so many people about?" Durmalga spins around and attacks.
"Iago, get her to safety. We'll cover you." Kurok says.
