Ferrin is a major nation located along the east coast of Odyssia. Since it spans most of the entire eastern seaboard, Ferrin's population is subject to numerous different climate locales, ranging from the colder, snowier southern portion of the country to the mountainous, arid northern part. The Partisan River flows from the north part of the country south, serving as a major source of water and irrigation for the country's inhabitants. As you move from north to south of the country, it get's more green and foresty, leading to the Great Evergreen, a forest of pines and other evergreens that makes up the southernmost part of the country. At the base of the northern mountain range called the Jutted Peaks lies a mostly arid desert known as The Wastes. Aside from the small oasis that surrounds the Partisan River on both sides, the Wastes are dry and hot, being more of a dirt and hard ground desert with no real sand to speak of. The part of the country that borders the ocean is known as World's End, due to the fact that not much is known of any lands out beyond the great sea, aside from islands that have been discovered and mapped. World's End starks from the rest of the country in that it has virtually the same climate no matter where you are: Temperate. The ocean provides a stable enough climate and regular rains give people who live there ample water supply and farming ground, along with great fishing.

Sefrin leaned back in a chair in a dusty attic. Around him were dusty books, covered in cobwebs, some old trunks and chests in the same or worse condition. The windows were covered in dirt and the light that filtered in cast everything in a dingy, shadowy light. Sefrin strectched his feet, his boots slightly squeeking against the desk he had placed his feet on. Sefrin craned his neck to look at a paper on the desk. he picked it up and looked over it for about the hundreth time in fifteen minutes.
Sefrin quickly flexed his other wrist. From his sleeve a knife gently flew into the air. Sefrin quickly caught it and began balancing it on a finger-tip as he looked over the flyer once again.
The flyer itself was that for the arena. A call had gone out for competitors for a massive tournament. Sefrin had always been the treasure hunting type and the prize money was enormous. More than he had ever scored in a single heist. However Sefrin was unsure. For one, it was a tournament, not a heist. He'd have to fairly fight opponents to get the cash prize. Either that or steal it.
Sefrin lauched anoher knife into the air. This knife's pummel landed on the tip of the other knife.
However if he went to the arena, he would be in the open. The bounty on th fabled "Steel Chain" had mysteriosuly vanished awhile ago, so no one was currently hutning him. However there might be those there at the arena who could hold a grudge.
Sefrin looked around his dingy office and sighed. He honestly had no choice. While Sefrin did have quite a lot of loot, he would have to liquidize quite a bit of his accquired goods. It would take a long time to get the gold out of his "investments" and Sefrin din't want to spend the rest of his life trying to get all of his money out of these goods.
Sefrin quickly shoved the paper into a cloak pocket and snatched up the pair of knives he was balancing. He was heading to the capitol square, where they would soon be picking up applicants for the arena.

Sefrin arrived at the designated area for would-be League members. It was the central plaza, the capitol square. People were bustling to and fro, going about their everyday lives. Merchants were trying to sell their wares, and workers were going to and from jobs.
While Sefrin prefered the shadows, a busy square could be just as good to make a few coin. However Sefrin decided against a quick fishing job, and instead waited at the location for the League official to arrive.

And above a magic circle, in a swirl of flames, did such a league official arrive. Dusting some ashes off of his cloak, Ignacio smiles at the legendary thief he had been sent to retrieve.
"Hello! Are you Sefrin Fars?," Ignacio asks him quietly, not wanting to cause a stir in case anyone remembered the old bounty on his head and was still interested in collecting.

Sefrin looked slightly distracted as he noticed Ignacio and spoke.
"Ah yes. That's me...Look I know I sent in that application weeks ago, but I'm still unsure about everything...I'm still pondering whether or not to go...Hmmm..." Sefrin looked around, not really eyeing Ignacio at all.
"Oh and you don't have to worry too much about me. My bounty is gone, and the commoners here have no idea, and don't really care about it. If some nobles heard my name, then I might get some issues from a past target. Either a noble or an old 'friend' from my old line of work. Then I'd have trouble." Sefrin said as he tilted his head to the side and stared at Ignacio as he spoke.
"And that," Sefrin said as he leaned back and strecthed slightly." Ooof...That...is why the League worries me...Do you have any important nobles in the League? Either that or a woman named Victoria Lassia, or a man called The Crow?" Sefrin asked.

"Hmm...no, we do not have anyone under those names in the League, champion or otherwise.," Ignacio answers after a few moments deliberation. "I assure you Sefrin, you're legal status is quite safe within the League. In fact, it should clear you of any current issues you may still have with other countries due to your status as a champion. If you wish to join that is. It's up to you."
Ignacio looks around the city as he talks to Ignacio, mainly trying to see what it was the thief was actually looking at. Coming up with nothing, he looks back and adds, "Oh, and if you accept and come with me, you'll have to take a test first, a 'judgement' so to speak, and then if you pass that you'll have to meet with me for a psych evaluation within a week afterward." Ignacio laughs. "But I wouldn't worry about either. The judgement and meeting with me are both essentially questionarres."

Sefrin sighed dramatically as he leaned back, his hands in his pockets. "Ugggggggg. Fine..."
Sefrin peered around Ignacio and shrugged slightly. He yawned once before continueing.
"Alright. Let's go. I don't wanna spend all day here." Sefrin spoke as he clapped his hands together and rubbed them.

"Right! Off we go then!," Ignacio exclaims happily. Then, in a swirl of flames, they disappear from Ferrin. After another instance of somewhat nauseating teleportation, they both appear at the League.
