The only piece of fancy jewelry he wears is his crown, which is just a simple gold band that goes around the back of his head and meets on his forehead, leaving a space between the two ends where he has a small tattoo that indicates his status as emperor. other than that, he wears a simple stone bracelet with runes scribed into it. He usually has a humble expression, or a sad one.

personality: He is determined to return his country to its former glory, but realizes how difficult this will be. He is often overwhelmed by the responsibility forced on him. He has a hard time asking for help, and feels entirely responsible for his people’s wellbeing. To this day he is still effected by his father’s death.

fears: being ridiculed, being a bad ruler, other leaders, letting his people down.

likes: using and studying magic, seeing his people happy.

history: The young and inexperienced Emperor of Genagis, he ascended to the throne after his father’s death. He has never had a mother, as his died shortly after his birth because of insufficient medical treatment. He has been viewed as the hope of his country because of his extraordinary knack for their type of magic. He wants to find a way to use the arena matches to restore his nation, and has called on Cerberus to help him. The two have made an arrangement for payment as this is a new circumstance, and the country is poor. he currently has no intention to fight in any matches.

magic abilities: He uses runes to summon the elements, create temporary barriers etc., by spelling them out in runes. he has a wristband that allows him to heal people. He can also scribe runes onto objects to give them effects such as this.

weaknesses: though he is skilled in his magic, he has never fought in his life, and has never had formal training. also, without scribing runes into an object, each time he wants to use a spell, he has to write it out. so this takes time. He is also a rather weak person in regards to his health, and can’t take much of a beating. (so, to put it in terms of stats, he’s got really high magic power, but low defense)

appearance: a tall figure clad in black armor with runes scribed into it. His shoulder armor looks like a dog’s head, as does his helmet, which completely masks his face. out of the back of the helmet is a long black hair-like ornament, sort of like a ponytail. (legends say this is hair from the demon who gave birth to him. he has no comment)

personality: Serious and strait to the point, Cerberus says what he wishes and rarely holds back his opinion. He’s stubborn and comes across as a bit antisocial. Despite this, he seems to be taking a liking to the young emperor.

fears: His identity being revealed

likes: winning, getting paid

history: The mysterious and legendary warrior that may be called upon by an emperor of Genagis to aide in times of war. For a price of course. His age is unknown as he has been called on over the centuries. No one has ever seen his face and many believe he is just made of magic by now. Cael called on him to fight for Genagis in the arena. Because of the country’s poor state, the two have made a deal. Instead of being paid to just fight in general, Cerberus has agreed to be paid per match.

magic abilities: His armor is enchanted to resist magical attacks, and to not feel heavy, which allows him to move with ease. His shoulder armor can be used in an attack where is comes off and two magic hellhounds form to fight with him. he fights with fire magic and a large sword.

weaknesses: ((*NOTE*: no one knows these yet. But I wanted to list some to prove he isn’t invulnerable))
-Cerberus can sense things coming at him, so it is hard to attack him from behind, however if this ability is cut off through some sort of other technique, his vision is limited by his helmet.

-if the magic runes on his armor are somehow disrupted, he feels the full weight of it and is hindered by that.

-Cerberus seems to let his emotions get in the way when he gets too attached to someone.

status: Genagis Champion

appearance: Relatively tall, she has a slender but athletic build. she wears a long-sleeved jacket with fur on the collar and rims of the sleeves, which hang all the way to her fingertips. her mask resembles a spirit her tribe believes watches over them, and is white and red. from the back of it is a long, fluffy grey material that may be her hair, or part of the mask. she wears simple sandals that are tied to her legs with leather straps. around her ankles she also has some sort of animal hide with the fur still attached, that is held in place by the straps.

personality: She is kind, and has a good sense of justice. She is always ready to help those less fortunate, especially the people of Genagis. She is even a bit mad that other countries have let it stay in such poor shape. She is protective of Cael, who she sees a bit like a little brother. She respects her elders, so long as they are respectable.

likes: hunting, Cael, the others in her tribe

fears: her mask falling off, Genagis falling into ruin, what the future of Genagis might be.

bio: She is an Ogi from the Ogi-Gen’ka tribe, a tribe that despite its ruin, still passes through Genagis. When they do, they tend to try and help the people as they go. When Cael was crowned Emperor, her tribe was there for the coronation. since then they visited him whenever they have come through, helping him with whatever they can by trading with his people, even if they got less than what they should have for goods. two years ago, she elected to stay in Genagis with Cael to help teach his people survival techniques and to help them in general. During that time she has grown protective of Cael, and knows that there are people who would use his age to use him.

magic n’ stuff: She has the Ogi ability of divination, meaning she can see the future. she uses this in battle to make accurate predictions of how her enemies will move and react. she can also call on her powers for others and read their futures as well. other than that she fights with short handled spear, which despite its weight she can use with ease.

weaknesses: no future is absolute, there are many paths it can take, she just sees the most likely path a person’s future might take. that being said there are small chances she might see the wrong move her enemy might take.

personality: a generally happy and optimistic person, and she loves to share it with others. Many think she is shy by the way she acts, but in reality she is full of energy and outgoing.

fears: spiders, insects, bats.

likes: candy, the smell of the ocean, birds

bio: A simple girl who grew up in a small fishing town near the ocean. she was skilled in magic, so she trained with the local security force. Lately she has been looking to find someone to train her even further as she feels she has little more she can learn at home. And where better to look than at the arena? She’s looking for someone who knows martial arts, and that uses their magic to enhance their physical capabilities.

magic powers: she uses magic to increase the impact of physical blows on others. she can also charge her attacks with elemental magic, such as lightning, fire and ice.

weakness: she can’t attack from a distance, all her fighting has to be close combat.

personality: pretty cocky and confident in himself. ever since he was very little he wanted to fight in the arena for his country. he’s got a good heart, but can be a real jerk sometimes.

likes: fighting, his guardian,

fears: embarrassment.

bio: A warrior of Naho, he grew up with the league system. He has dreams of being an arena champion and to bring glory to his country. He has only one guardian, but he has concentrated on it alone, and is an advanced user of its magic.

powers: (I set these up in sort of levels, from weakest forms to strongest)

His Guardian’s name is Alabastre. He can appear in a translucent orange, magic form that can become a shield and take most attacks, as well as come forward and use powerful slashing magic attacks.

he can also ‘merge’ with Ewan, in which case Ewan’s arms become like his, his hair becomes like the white feathers, and he also sprouts a tail. in this, Ewan can perform the attacks himself. this form is better for tougher opponents.

lastly, Ewan can outright make Alabastre appear and fight with him (like summoning). in this form Alabastre thinks for himself in the fight, and Ewan gets the ability to use earth magic.

weakness: when using his first method, he has to control Alabastre, so the effectiveness of the shield and slashes is up to his own timing and reflexes.

his second method makes the shield ongoing, however he still needs to rely on personal skill for his slashes, and this takes up more magic, and time as he has to transform.

his third method makes him the most powerful, however it takes up a lot of energy to use.

personality: calm and intellectual. She always thinks things through and likes order. She isn’t stuffy though, and can be very likeable.

likes: order, clean rooms, the peace the league has brought

fears: riots, chaos, Armageddon-like circumstances.

bio: A member of the league, her primary job is to manage things within the arena. She is the one who shows new members around, and can answer most questions anyone has. She was once a Champion herself, but after only a few years she was offered a position as a member of the League. She had had much success in her time as a champion, but these days does not fight in the matches.

strengths/abilities: She is a Thing speaker, who resonates well with metal objects. She is skilled with a sword, and very agile.

weaknesses: In order to maximize her mobility, she wears little armor so areas like her stomach, legs and chest are vulnerable.

race: Zeuterrian – Asura phase

home country: Terrazeuter

status: Champion

appearance: he has pretty much given up on shirts of any kind, finding it a pain to put his arms through so many holes. Instead, he wears different armbands and necklaces with bright colors. he wears a pair of somewhat loose blue shorts held up by a sash. on either hip he has three katanas for a grand total of six, one for each arm. his eyes are ruby red and black. His hair is bright blond and styled into a Mohawk with a small ponytail in the back that he wears over his shoulder.

personality: High spirited and always smiling. He’s a bit more wacky and out there than most of his kind, and definitely lacks the wisdom of age. He’s still a good guy though, and is eager to learn. He considers himself a ladies’ man, and will flirt with just about every woman he sees. he is a big kid at heart

bio: He has only been in his Asura phase for about a year now. How he got there is an interesting tale. During his Whelp phase, he did his fair share of physical activities, but he found none of them helped him grow at all. Fighting was easy to him, so he gained little accomplishment from it. One thing he did find however, was that ladies were not initially attracted to him. He, was very attracted to the ladies and would make his move, usually to be shot down. One day he was particularly persistent, having spent some time observing what the group he was wooing liked and didn’t like in men. He then gave it a try, and found himself successful. That night he grew more than he ever had. From that point on his goal was to seduce every woman he could. He advanced to an Asura by making women fall in love with him. He has only been a champion for a few months but her already has an adoring fan base.

likes: the ladies, bugging Barthandelus,

fears: not doing well, lose people he cares for.

skills: he has conditioned himself so that the natural exoskeleton on his shoulders and arms is tougher than the average Zeuterrian, so he can easily block even the sharpest of blades with them. though he isn’t as strong as some of his other male counterparts, he is pretty fast for a male Zeuterrian. He can fight with all six of his swords at once, and when he does so he concentrates more and actually gets better.

weaknesses: though his exoskeleton is stronger, it only covers so much of his body so he is still vulnerable in the un shielded areas. he is young and inexperienced so he still has much to learn, but it doesn’t help that he’s not all too bright when it comes to anything but swords and women.

name: Kalzar

age: 40

race: Aegis

home country: Genagis

status: Genagis Champion

appearance: A little over average height, with a medium build. He is covered in bandages all over his body currently. His left eye is completely covered, as is much of that side of his face. his eyes are a very light ice blue, and what bits of his hair you can see are a dull black. When not bandaged up, you can see that his hair is short and usually messily spiky. he has a small black goatee, and a fresh scar running down his left cheek. he wears very simple clothes that are simple shades of brown, with woven sandals he made himself. currently his right arm is in a sling, and he walks with limp because of an injury to his left leg. he has a crutch he was given to use, but refuses to.

personality: Like many aegis he is proud, stubborn and therefore refuses to accept help from others. He would do anything for the Emperor, and was honored to be asked to be a champion. His loyalty to his country is almost obsessive, and he is paranoid that the Zeuterrians will attack the Emperor. He is thoroughly convinced that after the war if it were only up to them, the aegis would have been all killed. Needless to say he’s a bit racist against Zeuterrians.

bio: The main champion from Genagis before the newest group arrived. He has been around from the beginning, and was the pupil of one of Genagis’ chief military figures during the war. He has been relatively successful at the arena, wining what he can for his home country. It seems that every year what he has earned has been barely enough to get by though. Recently he was badly injured in a battle with Barthandelus, so bad the only reason he is alive is the magic in the League. Even with the magic, he still needs time to heal, and is currently unable to fight in any matches.

likes: Genagis, the emperor, watching the Zeuterrians lose.

fears: the Emperor being attacked, the Emperor being anywhere near Zeuterrians, beingunable to protect the emperor for harm (especially the Zeuterrians)…..sensing a theme here?

skills: he has a bow-staff with wind runes on it, allowing him to manipulate wind in various ways. he also has a lot of endurance and can move non-stop for long periods of time if need be.

weaknesses: if he uses too much, or too powerful a spell, he could shatter his staff. Also, like many aegis he has poor defense.
