Lavstin, the Clockwork City

"Is Donato here?" Auralily repeats.

"Yes, your brother is here." Angela says "But that we can talk about inside."

Nero looks down at them from his room "That didn't take long at all..." he hears people in the hallway and opens his door to look. He sees Schedar and the others bringing Donato to a room. he gazes at Donato and smirks "not long at all...Schedar do tell me when he wakes up, I want to...observe."

"You certainly are a sadistic thing Nero." Schedar chuckles. "Best watch yourself though, the Viceroy's family is here now..."

Nero chuckles "Goody...I wonder what their fears are..."

"Where is he?" Danielle speaks up. "I want Donny here, now."

"Princess, calm down." Ian says.

"I won't. if they've done something to him I'll rip their fricking heads off." Danielle snaps.

"DANIELLE." Thaddeus says. "That won't help anyone. Calm yourself."

[Inkshade]

"I assure you he is in good hands." Angela says

Martin closes his eyes to locate Donato. He sees him being put into a straight jacket, then lied down on a bed in a very plain room with very little else in it. he opens his eyes "We should get inside and talk...now." he says, not saying what he saw because he knew Danielle would react.

Desiderius nodded."Yes, alright. Let us head back inside."

Desiderius led the way back into the castle. The doors shut behind them, closing them off from the excited crowd.

The group finally arrived in the throne room. Des sat upon the throne with a slight sigh.

"Well...I suppose there must be much you wish to ask me...I'm just so glad I have found my family safe and sound...There is much we need to catch up on..." Desiderius smiled at the group.

"Desiderius, please tell us what happened with Donato..." Auralily asks "We're all ,worried for him."

"Your brother is, safe and sound. All cozy in a nice room where we may start on his healing process." Schedar says re-entering the room with Caelum. "When he wakes up, depending on his state you might be able to visit him."

"Safe and sound in a straight jacket you mean." Martin says with a frown.

"Ahh, yes Prince Martin, the locator." Schedar grins "Yes, I have deemed it necessary to restrain him. He might hurt himself or others otherwise."

"And who are you, who has deemed yourself worthy of telling us, Princess and Princesses of Tektallium when we can see him, and what is best for him?" he asks, politely, but with hints of irritation.

"Dr.Schedar Terriculum. Personal doctor for the imperial family." he looks to Desiderius "Viceroy, I would wait to tell you this later, but considering your family is all here, I think it is best to tell you all now." Schedar begins "Your brother's condition is grim. He experiances obvious delusions, frequent mood changes, and uses maldaptive coping mechanisms. This seems to have been brought on by trauma, likely the attack on the capital, your parents death, and the reactions of the people. I'd like to start his treatment with some medications, and our current goal will be to get him to aknowledge that you are alive." he says.

Martin frowns, wondering what Danielle would say.

[Dynamax]

"No." Danielle says. "Donato is my responsibility and I won't have any of you in his head. It's your fault he's like that...I won;t have you turn him into a tool for your damned Empire." Danielle steps forward. "Des...how could you do what you did to him?" Tears run down her face. "This Nero...why did you have him do that to him?"

"I did no such thing. Nero must have done this on his own accord. I have had no command over this man, until my recent appointment, and even then he is only here under the emperors orders, Not mine." Desiderius spoke strongly and firmly.

"And as for Schedar,I trust him with my own health. I believe he can do what is right for Donato. Their is something truly wrong with Donato...If he made an attempt on my own life..." Desiderius said with a cold, sad voice.

[Dynamax]

"You faked you death." Marcellus says with some anger in his voice. "Made witnesses of Prince Donato and of me. You stayed hidden until now and then you do this of your own accord. Why?"

Desiderius looked sad.

"I never intended to fake my death at all...The only ones who thought I was dead were you." He said adressing the group as a hole.

"I hid as an order from the emperor, No one but him, and an elite group of guards knew about me. As for the rumors of my death, it is clearly some sort of trick. Marcellus, I say this with the utmost respect, can you trust your own memories of that day, considering the circumstances?" Desiderius stated in a vague, hinting sort of way.

"Do you dare to go there?" Constantine speaks up. "He's suffered enough. I don't care who you are but you dare not punish him any more than he already has over what happened back then."

"It's fine Constantine, I have no need to worry over this statement. I am mentally sound and my memory of that event is crystal clear...as much as Nero allowed it to be at any rate, for I saw exactly what Donato did, word for word." Marcellus says.

Thaddeus looks over at the group, eyeballing each and every one of them. "Hmm...an interesting choice in companions. It's like you're ready for a fight."

[Inkshade]

"If Desiderius were intending to fight you Thaddeus, you would know." Angela says. "A majority of these people are Schedar's guards, or Lord Darien's."

footsteps can be heard coming down the hall, accompanied by chuckling. Nero stands in the doorway, the source of both sounds. he was grinning "Hmm? I see the party's started without me." he comments with a smirk and gazes at the guests.

"Like we knew he lived?" Thaddeus says. "I hate these kind of secrets Angela, you know this. There's a line between need to know and self serving. This just crossed it in spades." He looks at Desiderius. "Why did you do all of this? I think that would be the best start, for your sister's sake. After all you do need to justify all of this...and Donato." He then looks at Nero. "Especially from you."

Nero smirks and raises an eyebrow "Hate to burst your bubble, but I don't have anything to justify." he walks over and stands near Latlia and Largos "I know I'm the perfect scapegoat in this sitation, but I'm not your man."

"What do you mean?" Auralily asks. this entire reunion was upseting her.

"It wasn't me." he sighs "Though trust me I wish I could take the credit for that...I simply, didn't even meet up with him that night, let alone was I even in this castle. I was positioned around back, got to have some fun with a few escaping knights, but not Donato." he chuckles then turns to Schedar "Oh, he's up by the way, screaming like a banshee. Lyra had to threaten me to get me to come tell you. couldn't stop laughing you see."

Auralily frowns and looks to Desiderius to make Nero stop.

"Then how did you do it?" Thaddeus says openly. "You want trust then tell us. Otherwise negotiations are going to be quite difficult, am I right? Or do the feelings of your family matter not at all Viceroy?"

"Thaddeus, you're being a bit hard." Ian says.

"It wasn't hard for Donato all this time? Or Danielle? My wife had to live in fear of being discovered and killed...or worse?" Thaddeus says. "Tough for him. What you all went through...you all have a God given right to straight answers."

"Enough." Desiderius spoke in a commanding tone. "All Arcadisian guards, and forces are to leave now. By order of the Viceroy." Desiderius shouted.

The guards in the room looked perplexed."Viceroy..."

"I have the right to talk to my family without any interference, now GO." Desiderius yelled.

The guard quickly filed out. Desiderius waited for the others to leave."Angela...I'm sorry, but you will have to leave as well..."
