Lladnar walks into the arena with his friend and fellow apprentice Marcella. They were called in by Merlin that day to test out a new feature he was planning to integrate into "the system". What that meant he didn't really know. It's probably just something for the arena..., he thinks to himself as he looks around at the arena the finals were being held in.
"Huh. This is a step up from the place were our finals were held freshman year.," he comments to Marcella.
"Indeed it is!," Merlin replies, appearing in a puff of smoke. "Welcome, both of you! I'm rather excited to try out this new feature, so I hope you won't mind if I make you both start fighting each other immediately!" He disappears and reappears in his usual observation spot. "Don't be afraid to go all out!"
Lladnar closes his eyes and chuckles. "I figured it'd be something like this." The "disk" device on his arm flashes and a metal part unfolds along the outer edge of his left arm, the 11 slots for cards flashing on it with the words "Duel Disk" glowing faintly on the front of it next to the deck. Lladnar leaps back and takes up a battle pose facing Marcella. "Prepare yourself!"

Marcella smiles as she steps forward pulling 2 cards from her deck. "Ladies first" she said with a giggle at Llandar.

Lladnar sighs and frowns. "Always with the insults.," he comments.
A number fills up from 0% to 100% on his "duel disk" with the glowing red words "lifepoints" next to it. He reaches with his right hand and dramatically pulls a card off the top of his deck and places it face up on his "duel disk". "Fireball!," he commands and the card flashes. Immediately afterwards a fireball forms in his right hand and he fires it at Marcella.

Marcella smiles as she brings up a small pulse of water to stop the fireball and she uses her hawk card and her wolf card to summon 2 hawks and 2 wolves, the hawks fly high up into the air and the wolves move away from her in opposite directions attempting to circle around Lladner. she then gets into her attack stance with her spear, its blade shimmering off snowflakes.

Figures that she'd go with the summons., Lladnar thinks to himself. He holds out his right arm and clenches it slowly. The snowflakes coming off of Marcella's spear melt into water, which then fly at her face.
"Slow!," he commands, causing the water on her face to flash as the spell takes effect. If it succeeded, her perception of time would slow down.
While that was happening, he activates the Fireball card on his "duel disk" again to fire off another fireball at one of the wolves.

(OOC: the weapon shimmer snowflakes but they aren't real its a cosmetic effect of the weapon)
The wolf gets hit by the fireball and fades away, but the other wolf attacks Lladner biting him in the leg (3%)
Marcella then swings her spear up and slams the ground sending a ripple of earth at Llandar, when reaching him erupts with hot water. (4%)

((OOC: Oh. Well, disregard that part then >_>))
"Shit!," Lladnar curses at the wolf biting him, kicking it off of his leg. He then quickly pulls another card off the top of his deck and yells, "Sound Barrier!," creating a barrier of sound waves around him that disrupt and repel the geyser. He then swipes with his right hand as it glows purple as he casts, "Slow!" Magical energy flashes like a haze around Marcella as the spell attempts to take effect.
He activates the Fireball card for a third time, sending another fireball at the wolf that just attacked him.
Life Points: 97%
Barrier Health: 1%

The fireball hits the other wolf causing it to fade away also. the 2 hawks swoop down the one grabs the fireball card off of Llandars disk, the other scratches at his face (3%) Marcella then casts speed on her self to offset Lladnars slow.

The barrier absorbs the hawk's attack and then fades away.
Lladnar then creates an an energy sphere in his hand and shoves it at the hawk that attempted to hurt him. While doing that, he says, "Gravity Bind!," attempting to alter Marcella's perception of gravity on herself and make her movements feel heavier.

((OOC: Ice posted this but it got deleted, so I'm posting it for him.))
Marcella also averts this with her perception magic, and uses some of the energy from her diamond in her belt to slow Llandars perception of time. The hawk gets hit by the energy blast and fades away, The other hawk brings Marcella the fireball card and she starts to cast it twice.

Llandar counters the perception magic with his own perception magic to speed up his perception of time. He then pulls out and activates another card, "Aquajet!" He activates this card twice to put out each fireball and the jets continue onward at Marcella.
(Jet's deal 2% damage each since they used up some water putting out the fireballs.)

Marcella's last hawk takes one of the Aqua Jet hits, and fades away. Marcella gets hit with the other jet but stands there seemingly unphased. "I wont ruin your fireball card don't worry" she said as she threw it to the side away from the fighting. She then summons 4 more wolves and 4 more hawks using 4 of her cards. they immediately spread out. Marcella then focuses on Lladnar using her telekinesis in an attempt to hold him in place/somewhat restrict his movements.

((OOC: The Aqua Jet only did 2% damage so you'd be at 98% Life Ice.))
"Thanks.," Lladnar says back through gritted teeth as he fights against the telekinesis. "Restore!," he says, removing the Slow perception magic spell off of Marcella. "Argh...Blind!," he says quickly afterwards, replacing the slow effect with a blind effect, hoping it'll break her telekinesis concentration.
While that's going on, he activates his Sound Barrier card again, bringing up another barrier of sound waves around himself.

(OOC:k, oh and she can still see through her summons dont forget that outer)
Marcella ignores her blindness and instead uses Lladnars hand to punch himself in the face "Stop hitting yourself" Marcella laughs as she makes him punch himself in the face 4 times (8%) (ignores your barrier since your inside of it it hitting yourself lol) Marcella removes her speed buff that was countering the slow. she is still concentrating on controlling only Lladnars right arm.
