Helen looks confused.
"Don't worry about it." Slater says to her and enters. he sits and waits for her to shut the door.

Gabriel holds out his hand and pulls out the chairs telekinetically. "Since we're laying it all out, that is one of the things I do." He says as he sits down.

Helen smiles "telepathy, how interesting." Helen smiles and shuts the door. she takes a seat in a chair and looks at them. "I supose it's best I cut to the chase, then any questions you have I can answer, and if I come up with anything I can ask you." she looks at Slater "Andy, there are some things about the history of this organization you need to know as Director. Are any of you familiar with Project Hercules, and the disaster that resulted of it?"

"More than that, it was a cruel and monsterous program, that ened in a disaster that formed the Midnight Organization. Yes, we know of them." Helen says "After the disaster, the US government decided your kind were dangerous, and needed to be eliminated for the safety of the world." she says solemnly "The Department for Anihilation of Ascendants. DAA."
Slater's eyes widen "What?"
"The DAA was formed to exterminate ascendants, and they were sucessful under the late Director." Helen sighs "We have a database of hundreds of Ascendants worldwide, each who at one point had a death order on them. Including you Andy."
"What?!" Slater looks even more shocked
"Your 'feelings'. Minor Psyolocation. But it seems it has evolved into minor premonition...or something of that nature. It's why you were accepted into the FBI at such a young age. It was so you could be killed and it could have been passed off as in the line of duty." Helen explains. "Clearly, by the fact that you are alive, that is no longer our objective. The DAA was changed to what it is today when the president at the time had an ascendant child. The Death calls were canseled, and you were inducted in as one of out agents. You were assigned to Carson because we thought you as an ascendant would connect more to him. And we were right."
"Jesus..." Slater shakes his head.
"I know...it's a lot to take in...but there is more. there is a reason why Carson was taken in by us as well...The former DAA was responsible for his mother's death. They used his aunt as bait and forced his mother to comply to their demands. They planned to lure Walsh out by holding Carson and his mother hostage. Things didn't go as planned and his mother was killed. We didn't find out that he had survived until years later when we got the reports of him."
"and..this was all under our director?" Slater asks with disbelief.
"Now you know his demons. He felt a responsibility to you and Carson to protect you after what he had ordered." Helen sighs.

"No wonder they seem so adamant in their goals." Gabriel says. "How much would they know? I can guess this was the reason for the kill. Maybe walsh or an ally?"

"Walsh wouldn't know. Our intelligence sugests that he fell for the ruse they had his wife create. His wife's body was also collected, so he would not know if she is dead or alive. It is safe to say Walsh knows as much as Carson does." Helen says "But...Carson's aunt knows more...she was the murderer. We had her in custody for years, even after the death calls were stopped. She was too violent...she escaped and well..."
"How much does she know?" Slater asks
"She knows that Walsh's wife was forced to work for them, and that she's dead. And she knew who made the call." Helen says.

"Well, the good news is they don't know yet. And we have a perimiter set up to search for her." Helen says "She will likely try to return to the old bases and who knows if those are functioning. Something that helps is she's insane, and granted she will be violent, but she won't think clearly. She can't be out of the country yet. We'll get her."
Slater sits back "Jesus..." he thinks about everything "Guess I was never the token after all...."

Elijah cocked his head curiously, wondering what Slater meant by the token, but he wasn't all that worried about it. "Would telepath-Gabe be able to help?" He asked Gabriel. "He was trying to find the others earlier...maybe he'll have better luck with her if she's still in the country?"

You know most of them...you keep his location need to know from anyone outside of this. The less Uncle Sam knows the better. That and i want to have Iron clad guarentees that Gouken, Chantal and Wolfrik will be safe from deportation...and...I want on record that it was Id that destroyed Paris. Chantal was not at fault. can you do all that?"

"I can." he says to Gabriel. "I'll make them all...special passes or something...we can tatoo it to Wolfrik so he won't forget it...." Slater says "I wanted to talk more to this Eli anyways...I think the DAA should help him. We need to find ascendants, before the Midnight Organization. Give them the oppertunity to take reffuge with Eli, or fight with you. We could build a counter organization..."
"Been Director ten minutes and he's already making plans..."
