Kyrein coasts through the insides of the Crystal, just as he had done in his vision. He had traveled pretty far from what he could tell. he sees an opening up ahead and goes to it. it opens to a vast, spherical chamber. there were nineteen other openings around it like he had come through it. four of them were blocked off and dark, dead looking. there was another crystal floating in the center. it was about ten feet long and illuminated a very soothing light. Kyrein explores the edges of some of the other openings in each he could see a large creature, except in the dead four. he goes to one that seemed familiar. he gets hit with a feeling of sadness as he touches it, as if it had been where he grew up and it was destroyed. he suddenly emits a red aura and it rises off of him, taking the form of the Guardian within him. It flies around the chamber a few times, then stops above of him. It seems to land in front of him, but as it does so, it morphs into a man in regal looking white clothes with long white hair and unnaturally blue eyes.
“Hello Kyrein.” he smiles.
“Er…Hi….umm-“
“You’re wondering where we are and who I am?” the man laughs “We are at the center of this planet. That crystal,” he points to the one floating in the center “is the gateway to the realm of the Celestians. And I Kyrein, I am you father.” Dnavdo smiles at his son.
“Wha?” Kyrein’s eyes widen “How?”
“When I gave myself to the planet to save it, my spirit and power was separated from my body. Without a vessel, I would have disappeared like Guardians that don’t have a Crystal do. But the Guardian our family put here allowed me to merge myself with it so that I might live.” he says and walks closer to him “I’m sorry I couldn’t be there for you son, and I wish we could have arranged for you to live with your brother. But you couldn’t leave your mother, and she wouldn’t leave me. You’ve faced so much hardship because I could not truly destroy Crytec.”
“No, don’t be. It would be worse if you hadn’t tried.”
“I suppose…Have you met your brother?”
“No, but a friend named Spaero says he’ll help me find him.”
“Spaero?...Hmm, yes he will be able to help you.” Dnavdo says “Son, there are a few things I need to tell you. First, the Guardian Chaos who resides within you, and who’s spirit is merged with my own, has a purpose on this planet. His purpose, is to awaken the other Guardians without the circumstances they each require to save the planet. They usually can awaken without specific tragedies. But Chaos can bring them out if it is needed. Chaos is in you Kyrein, and that is preventing him from doing this.”
“So…what do we do about it?”
“I believe you have to awaken them my son. I’m not sure how you will do this…It has never happened before. But I have faith you and Lindwell will figure it out.” Dnavdo says “Next, you need to warn Lindwell. Your enemy is far more deceitful than we thought and if not warned Lindwell may fall for his trap.”
“What do you mean?”
“Kyrein, remember when I told you my power and spirit went to the planet? My body was left behind. The President of Crytec was once a Celestian, but he lost some of his power and became tainted. he has been living by stealing others bodies. After I destroyed his last one, he took mine.”
“WHAT?!” Kyrein steps back “The…the…President of Crytec…”
“Is using my body. Lindwell must be warned son. If not he might believe that Corvannis Shassiv, or Kryt Briceson as he is calling himself, is me.” he explains.
“I’ll tell him.” Kyrein nods “What is the last thing?”
“Your mother…she…she was alive Kyrein.”
“she…was?”
“Yes. But…they’ve done something to her…it’s like she’s become a crystal. See for youself.” he says and gestures to a spot on the wall.
Kyrein looks in and sees a woman trapped in crystal. he thinks he can hear her saying something but it isn’t understandable. “That’s mom?”
“Sort of…her life force is gone…I think I know how to fix her…but you will need to find what remains of her body…”
“How will you fix her?” Kyrein asks.
“Fusing her completely with Shiva…Crytec seems to have already started to make her more crystalline.” Dnavdo says “You must leave now son. Crytec will attack your friends, and you need to beat them back.” he hugs Kyrein, passing slightly through him “I’m sorry all we can talk about is business…but you must go now son. I’ll lead you back, you don’t want to end up going back through the wrong crystal.” he says and starts to fade into him “And don’t worry, I’m always here. You have three consciousnesses living in you.” he says and merges back into the red aura and into Kyrein.
Kyrein sighs and goes through the opening her could feel his father urging him to go down.
