So I talked with Noble about this the other day and felt I should tell you guys too, just so you're also in the loop.
Basically, this RP will be a little more "Campaign-y" than other RPs. Mainly in the sense that I won't really have a static "good guy" character that does stuff with you guys. I'll be more of a "DM" role in sense, controlling "NPCs", plot important guys, plot progression, and mostly controlling how enemies and such.
That being said, I'm sticking by how I said before that you guys would be able to make up the stages your Mavericks/Psuedoroids/Mega Men are fought in (If they're on a villainous side or going to be fought like that). But it's more like things happen and your characters either survive...or perish.
How it's going to go, and I know it'll be like this, is when I let you guys make bios there will be a surge of lots of characters. And that's cool. I encourage that.
But eventually we'll get to a point halfway through the story where I want, and I will help ensure, that there are only 8 Mavericks/Psuedoroids/Mega Men bosses left, besides any that may be fought in the final level. At that point, a lot of your guy's "good guy" characters will be working together to tackle these threats, and those bosses that survive to that point will be very, very difficult.
Which brings me to how this is starting out. Basically, I don't want anyone starting out as a Guardian/Hunter or even being on a good guy side. It's more like any Mega Man you make (Because those are the only real "good guys") will be more neutral and out for themselves, just trying to survive and learn how to use their powers. After all, the world is in chaos so sides are hard to draw lines for.
So how "stages" goes then is on more of an individual basis, although I do plan and expect some of you guys to end up having characters that work together and such. Basically it'll be, in a simplified sense, "You can go left, right, or forward.," and depending on what you choose, you'll go a different stage and fight a different boss. How I'll determine what those places are is by you guys telling me what stage your Maverick, Psuedoroid, or Mega Man delegates over.
Speaking of which, that's probably another thing I should add to the bio template section if I haven't already. You don't have to make up the stage immediately, but you can tailor it to your character/any characters current areas that about to go into.
I know this probably all sounds confusing, so I'm going to leave it as this for now and let you guys ask questions, which will help me explain things better. Also, I'll be doing the first "mission" for you guys as a sort of tutorial, which should hopefully also help.
