Slater would have otherwise been enthusiastic about the flying. he liked rides like that at amusement parks so this would have been great. Instead he was worried about Carson.

"They didn't take him, he went with them." Slater snaps "He made an effort to make us think he was taken, but...he's fine. He...somehow he discovered that some...Walsh guy is his dad. I've got the blood test, and...a feeling that it's true. He's on that jet, heading to god knows where, with bunch of lunatics, and I don't like it, but it's what he wants right now, and I trust him to not let them get to him." he says.

"Walsh....is...." Rebecca made a fist and punched the side of the mobile home. "DAMN IT!!!"
"HEY NOT THE RV!!!" Due to the distraction Gabriel landed hard on the ground a few feet in front of Ford. "Whoops...."
"At least...you messed up...on the...invincible man..." Gabriel says as he gets up slowly.
"Sorry dude, Rebecca's not taking the news on Carson well." Ford says.
"He'll never let Carson go. He's been too fixated on finding him again." Rebecca looked frustrated. "Don't you get it? We've lost him." She falls over and starts crying. "Damn it..."
"He's not a lost cause. I caught a faint thought from him the moment the plane flew overhead. He wants to see you and Slater again." Gabe says.
"A half truth, a lie or you just that lucky?" Gabriel thinks.
"All of the above. A hunch from what I heard and felt." Gabe thinks.
"So...is everyone ok?" Gabriel says.
"Tanya bailed dude...sorry." Ford says.
Gabriel frowned.
