Name: Cayne Able

Age: 17

Moral stance: Neutral (aka he has no interaction with any of the ascended, so he has no opinion on anything for the moment.)

Appearance: Like THIS but with one more hoop in the lobe of his ear. Each ear has those six piercings and they are all bright and shiny sterling silver. He also has that lip piercing, an eyebrow ring and his nipples pierced. His eyes are more of an ice blue than in the picture. For the record, his hair also falls to an inch below his shoulders. He has the words ‘To Thine Own Self Be True’ tattooed around his left arm, midway between his shoulder and elbow in this script, and the letters LOVE on the knuckles of his left hand and LIVE on those of his right hand (both in the same font). He is 5’10” and isn’t all that well muscled.

He normally wears black/dark pants and tends to have nice, shiny silver chains at least somewhere on them and for shirts he tends to wear ones that are graphic tees or bright with a bit of dark somewhere on it and around his neck he has a black leather choker (the top one). When he wears a jacket he has a nice, leather jacket he got as a birthday present and for shoes he has black boots that go to mid calf.

Personality: He’s stubborn to a fault and loyal to whatever he thinks is right. He tends to take charge in most situations when it feels right, but it also takes its toll on him, leaving him to try and find a stress outlet. He enjoys the responsibility of taking care of the people he considers family. He’s slow to anger unless it involves said family, but at that point he loses all sense of mercy and a friend once told him he had a sadistic streak a mile wide, though he tends to regret it after.

In most instances he is calm, warm and easy to get along with. People are generally at ease around him and he in turn tends to be relaxed around them. He tends to be quiet, a listener more than a speaker, but when he speaks he expects people to listen.

Fears He’s Claustrophobic, it’s not horrible but he doesn’t like being underground, really big crowds or the feeling of being trapped.

History: Cayne was born in a really small town in Nevada, one of those ones where there’s lots of open space and more cows than people. It was there that he grew up and learned quite a few things he values and enjoys –including horseback riding, what hard work really is and hunting- and learned what it was like to be different. In such a small town, as his sense of style was one of many things that stuck out about him. However he also learned perseverance and has stubbornly remained who he wants to be until the people in his little rinky-dink town saw him for more than his clothes.

He was perfectly content to live in his small town, but just before his seventeenth birthday his Dad’s company opened a new branch in a city that’s conveniently located to place him in contact with another ascended or three. While there, he has stayed firm in who he is and still tries to enjoy all of the comforts he once had at home. This leads to semi-frequent trips to a nearby shooting range to keep his hunting skills sharp though he’s yet to find a good place to ride horses. In his opinion the best part about the move is the fact that he can finally go to a store that’s larger than a Walmart (his old towns version of a mall…it was half an hour away) with ease. Recently, his parents (with the assistance of lovely grandparents, aunts and uncles) have bought him a motorcycle as a birthday present/reward for not complaining about the move to much.

Powers: The Power of Friendship! (Just kidding….mostly) Cayne’s power is incredibly subtle, and one that even he is relatively unaware of, he has the ability to alter loyalties and more importantly, draw people in to him. At the moment, this has manifested in an incredibly simplistic manner, one that even he is unaware of. When he meets people, they are drawn to befriend him and help him. Once he is friends with someone, breaking that friendship is incredibly difficult for them, and has been told it feels unnatural to consider it. He is like a people magnet, and though he isn’t popular, people pay attention and generally listen to what he says.

Paraphernalia: He used to hunt quite a bit, meaning he’s skilled with both rifles and hand guns. He has a .40 S&W Pistol and a Savage Model 110 Rifle at home, and always keeps the amo well stocked, just in case he ever gets really bored and wants a little extra target practice.

Weaknesses: He isn’t good at hand to hand combat, though he’s fast enough to dodge. In addition to this, his powers aren’t really suited for combat, meaning he has nothing to rely on but his mostly non-existent skills. His powers also take time, and aren’t instant worship.

Name: Elijah

Age: 5

Moral stance: Good

Appearance: Like this

Personality: He's very sociable and once you get him talking, he doesn't like to stop, especially if you know that he's 'gifted'. He doesn't like being serious, as that isn't very much fun for him. He tends to get a little sulky when he's ignored.

Likes: Noise, music, flying, people paying attention to him.

Dislikes: Being ignored, silence

Hobbies: flying, messing with peoples minds with his power.

Fears: Being shoved in cages and being trapped.

History: Elijah is a Congo African Grey Parrot who was raised in captivity for the first three years of his life. He completely baffled his owner with his ability to mimic everything said to him perfectly, but because of that he lived a rather good life, for a parrot. However two years ago, his owners house burned down, and in a panic he broke free of his cage and escaped, he has been living alone ever since.

Powers: Voice mimicry: Elijah can make his voice sound like anyone else's voice, with no difference between his mimic and their real voice.

Steel feathers: Elijah can make his feathers, and thus his body, as strong as steel for short periods of time. When in this state, he can't be physically injured.

Paraphernalia: He has talons and a beak. Huzzah!

Weaknesses: He's a parrot so he can't really be subtle. Additionally, he can only use his steel feathers ability for twenty minutes every six hours. And he's not a ventriloquist, so his voice mimicry loses a bit when someone's watching his beak move.

Name: Anastasia (Ana) Cooper

Age: 21

Moral stance: Chaotic Neutral

Appearance: She has really short dark brown hair and eyes that are almost black. Her skin is a dark tan and she has her nose and belly button pierced. She mostly wears plain clothes like t-shirts and jeans, rarely with patterns, as she tries to avoid being noticed. She also is incredibly fit, as she bikes, trains and dances quite a bit, but she isn't bulky, just lean.

Personality: Stubborn, opinionated and just a little bit arrogant. She's a smart girl, and has a hard time admitting when she's wrong. She's a bit of a recluse, and has a hard time being around people she doesn't like, but she'll do it if she has to (just don't expect her to be happy about it)

Likes: Messing with people's heads, dancing

Dislikes: Stupid people, technology (and those who can use it)

Hobbies: Dancing

Fears: Having her powers be found out and exploited.

History: Ana has lived a rather interesting life, but not because of many extraordinary things happening. Most of her life has been spent being a bit of an outcast from everyone else, and moving around a lot to try and keep herself a secret, due to the chaos that can be caused by her powers. She was homeschooled for her entire life and though she can now go to college, she chooses not to. Instead, she renovates and resells houses for a living, doing as much dancing as possible on the side. Her parents are the only ones who knew about her powers (they died in an car crash two years prior) and now that they're gone, she doesn't often talk to or associate with anyone she doesn't have to. Also, the apartment she lives in has just about nothing in it.

Powers: Manipulation and neutralization of the electromagnetic spectrum. Basically, nothing that uses waves work around her. This used to be that nothing in a twenty foot radius would work, but she's managed to get it down to just on her skin, unless she expands it. This also means that things like cell phones, iPods, radios, microwaves, radar, x-rays and all that good jazz don't work around her unless she wants them to. (A fun side effect is that she doesn't get sunburn) However, she herself can't use any of them whatsoever, no matter how hard she tries.

She can fire off bursts of these waves when she needs to defend herself, and can neutralize most technology. Radiation in general does nothing to her, and if she expands her powers, it won't do anything to things within fifty feet of her.

Paraphernalia: She keeps a minimum of four concealed knives on her at all times and her belt buckle also has a knife She also keeps a container of pepper spray on hand, and she always has her SAP gloves gloves on. She also carries a sword cane

Weaknesses: She can't communicate long distance with anyone, and a lapse of concentration means she's liable to cause chaos or hurt any allies. She also doesn't have any real allies, and large bursts of waves drains her quickly.

Name: Brooke Scrow

Age: 18

Moral stance: Neutral

Appearance: This

The earrings are silver studs and she also wears a black skirt that goes to her mid thigh.

Personality: She's got a rather playful personality, and generally enjoys talking to people and being around them, and she generally tries to find the good things in life. She can be serious though, and when she's honestly angry she has a mean temper, and acts on instinct.

History: Brooke has lived on the streets for a few years, after her parents kicked her out due to her powers. Brooke wasn't really shocked at this though, and she's just glad they think she's a little crazy, instead of knowing about her powers. However, she isn't all that bad off despite her living conditions, and doesn't look like she lives on the street.

Since then, she's managed to get through high school (just barely, but it counts) and has spent the time since wandering with her friend (and dog) Jazz, and has recently found her way to London. She makes a living doing street performances with Jazz, and occasionally she uses her powers to help supplement her diet and income. She's also been known to steal when she has to, and has little qualms about it.

Powers:
Power 1: She can communicate with animals both verbally and mentally. Her mental range is about a mile, and any animals that spend prolonged periods of time with her (a year or so) slowly become a bit smarter due to contact with her mind.

Power 2: Brooke can shapeshift into any animal she's come into contact with. She can also partially shift to give herself claws, or to enhance her hearing and senses. Her clothes do change with her, mostly due to lots of practice.

Paraphernalia: A hula hoop she uses for shows with Jazz and a slightly battered purse that she keeps her wallet in.

Weaknesses: She can't keep an animal form indefinitely and must return to human form at least once every 24 hours, for at least an hour. She also can't turn into any animal she hasn't met, and seeing as she doesn't like zoos, she hasn't seen many exotic creatures.

History: A completely normal dog, who travels with Brooke. He's a bit smarter than the average dog, having been raised by her since he was a puppy, and thinks he's the genius behind their routine. This bio is mostly for the picture.

Name: Ethan Barrios

Age: 20

Moral stance: Good

Appearance: Ethan's got skin that's deeply tanned, dark brown eyes and short-cropped curly black hair. He's tall and skinny and has no real muscle or any identifiable physical strength.

Personality: Ethan is rather laid back and calm, though he isn’t the most polite person in the world. He doesn’t have much of a verbal filter, which leads to occasional chaos. Despite his normal demeanor, when it comes to anything regarding his drawings or what they're of, he gets down to business immediately and takes no crap from anyone.

Likes: Drawing, fires, watching T.V.

Dislikes: Rain and storms in general, exercise, the cold

Hobbies: Drawing

Fears: Drowning, heights

History: Ethan developed his first power at the age of sixteen, and after two weeks of trying to figure out how to get rid of the crippling headache caused by it, he got over the newness. From that point on, he lived a nice, semi-normal life, figuring he'd graduate high school, then head out and see what was up in life, and in the mean time he'd figure out what the drawings were about. He also set himself to mastering them, because he liked drawing anyways, and it was rather fun.

Two days before graduation, the second half of his powers kicked in, but he'd gotten fair warning from the first half, so he was prepared for it. He stuck around town just long enough to grab his diploma, before throwing everything he needed into his car, telling his parents he was going on a road trip, and he hasn't been back since.

After quite a bit of looking around, he found a lead to Eli's, which is where he's been staying for the past year and a half. He's had a pretty good time there, and he's been able to mostly master his powers and now he's ready to do something with them.

Powers:
Power 1- The first ability Ethan realized he had came in the form of drawings. He will occasionally get visions of people, things, places or events that are important to the future. During this time, he enters a state where he has to draw what he sees, and while doing so, he gets information on the scene. Names, ages and powers are the most common, but he also normally gets information about what's going on and more detailed information about the people as well. If he focuses hard enough, he can usually force visions of the past or he can get more detailed information on one person.
These drawings look more like photographs than something that was drawn, and the only way you can tell he drew them is because they’re all in pencil. When needed to, Ethan can essentially burn the image into special paper, or the ground, though he prefers not to.
Power 2- Pyromancy- Ethan can create and manipulate fire with his mind, and with much practice, he’s learned to use it to control the temperature as well. Because of his control, he can’t be burned or hurt by any fire in any way.

Paraphernalia: He’s got a bag with a flashdrive, a netbook and a charger, a small drawing supply kit and a minimum of three sketchbooks that have special paper in them on him at all times. He also carries a lighter as an excuse to play with fire, and so people don’t always realize he can just conjure the flames with his mind.

Weaknesses: If Ethan doesn’t draw the vision he sees immediately, he gets intense headaches that get steadily worse the longer he waits. Although this can be offset by essentially creating the drawing in fire, if he doesn’t draw it within a few hours, the headaches return. Also, there’s no guarantee he’ll have a vision in time to do anything about the situation. He’s also rather vulnerable while drawing, as most of his focus is on the vision. And aside from his powers, he has the weaknesses of an average human.

Name: Blaise Thorton

Age: 21

Moral stance: Highly Chaotic Neutral

Appearance: Like this He normally wears niceish jeans or slacks, and dress shirts with either a regular tie or a bow tie. If one actually looks at what he’s wearing though, it becomes rather obvious the clothes he wears are all battered and old. Also, he’s 5’8” and has hazel eyes.

Personality: He’s quiet, almost silent, really, and very reserved around all people he meets. He trusts them even less than he talks to them, he doesn’t make relationships or get involved with the people he meets and he’s incredibly socially awkward. To add onto this, he’s incredibly quick to anger when provoked, and has no qualms about threatening people who anger him. The easiest way to provoke him is threaten him personally.

Likes: Acoustic music, the violin

Dislikes: People, crowds, loud noises, most music and just about everything else that isn't the above music and Seth.

Hobbies: Playing the violin

Fears: Dying

History: Blaise is originally from New York City, where he lived with his parents until he came into his powers. At the age of thirteen, his powers activated, and the end result was that he killed his parents and three siblings. Needless to say, Blaise was traumatized by this event and he wound up locking himself in his room in an attempt to try and avoid what he’d done and reason it out. Several days later, people came to check on the family, seeing as they’d essentially fallen off the face of the planet and Blaise’s powers turned on one the first one to touch him too.

Because the people who’d come to find them couldn’t connect Blaise to any deaths, he was integrated into the foster system. However, this didn’t stop Blaise’s powers from needing an outlet, so they turned on random people he passed on the streets and in schools. Because Blaise was the only who realized it was him causing the trouble for people around him, no one connected him to the situation and so, he was reasonably safe.

That changed when he was fifteen and the DAA came after him because they’d linked him to the incidents. They tried to kill him, because at this point they were still all about killing Ascendents and Bliase would have easily killed them in return. In the end, Blaise’s powers activated and he wound up killing everyone who’d come after him, after which he ran.

He spent the next two years lurking in the streets, draining people constantly to alleviate the worst of the pain, killing when he couldn’t help it anymore and trying to keep himself hidden. He learned to avoid leaving any trail with his identity, he stopped interacting with people and when possible, he avoided killing people. Most of his victims came from outside of clubs, where others wouldn’t be able to rat him out if he just so happened to slip up. That all changed when he targeted a young man by the name of Seth, who was able to recognize what he was and essentially offered himself to Blaise as a meal. Blaise was so shocked by this that he stopped mid-assault, leaving Seth intensely weak, but alive.

Long, long story short, Seth decided to completely disregard Blaise could kill him (and has come close on multiple occasions). The duo has moved to Manfield, England because Blaise had too much of a record in the US to stay safe. Plus, they figured that getting away from the US –and thus, the DAA- was always a good idea. Since then, Blaise has tried and mostly failed to harness his powers, but he can now go into public without being overly tempted to use his powers, unless he’s in a crowd. He is now completely comfortable with killing, and doesn’t discriminate about who he kills…he's perfectly willing to kill everyone who isn't Seth. And if anyone tries to hurt Seth, he makes them wish they were dead.

Oh, and to supplement Seth’s savings and really small checks he gets from working at a local café, he plays the violin on street corners. It’s really one of the few things in life that he enjoys, and it helps put dollar store bread on the table.

Powers: Blaise has one main power that can be split into two distinct categories. The first of which is that he can sense and drain the life energy of people around him. The people he drains are quickly filled with a crippling pain, and their bodies begin to shut down within moments. The end result is that they appear to die from a heart attack, which has kept people from realizing the people are being murdered. He can drain people within thirty feet of him, but he prefers getting closer and actually coming in contact with him as the only respect he can offer them.

The second aspect of his powers is that once he senses someone’s energy, he is keyed into it. He can follow energy trails of people, which allows him to track them for about two after they pass and area and Ascendents are far more potent to him. He can also sense connections between different people he senses, which he can use to sense familial and emotional ties.

Paraphernalia: A Glock he stole from the agents who came after him, that he keeps as insurance. He also carries a switchblade and a violin.

Weaknesses: Where to begin….

He has trust issues and anger issues, which means that even if he meets kind people he won’t work with them easily, and if he does work with them, he’s highly likely to avoid conflict. He doesn’t obey basic social rules, so he’s more than willing to challenge people with more authority to them, he doesn’t care about the consequences, and if you don’t like it, he’ll kill you. Or he’ll kill the people you like and he’ll kill you. Needless to say, this gets him into trouble a lot.

In addition to this, he has to kill every two weeks or his powers turn on him, because there’s something about life leaving the body his powers need. He also has to drain people fairly regularly, because even if he kills someone, he needs more. He can last about half a week before it starts to get uncomfortable, and after a week, they begin causing him physical pain, exhaustion and crippling headaches.

Seth. Because Seth is human and thus an easy target. And Blaise doesn't think rationally when angry, and that only gets worse with Seth involved. This can and has gotten him into trouble.

Name: Seth Beras

Age: 22

Moral stance: Neutral/Loyal to Blaise

Appearance: He stands at 5’11” and he’s very slender with pale skin and blue-green eyes. He dresses fashionably (even if he gets post of his clothes from discount bins) and share Blaise’s fondness of bowties.

Personality: Seth isn’t nearly is quiet as Blaise, he can actually be very sociable, so long as he thinks that he and Blaise won’t get killed for existing. His most important trait are his empathy, which allows him to A. connect with Blaise, and B. understand Blaise even when he says nothing. His second most prominent trait is him calmness, as it takes a great deal to rile him up.

Likes: Fashion magazines and designs, fixing up the clothes he buys for himself and Blaise, stargazing.

Dislikes: People that don’t think before they act, pointless conversations

Hobbies: Doodling fashion designs

Fears: Blaise completely losing control

History: Seth moved to New York City after graduating high school, and he fully intended on getting a nice career in fashion design or something else he could enjoy. Unfortunately (or may fortunately) for him, one night after leaving a party, he was attacked by Blaise, who instantly began draining him of energy. It didn’t take Seth long to realize that Blaise needed the energy desperately, and that he was rather obviously alone, so he did the only thing that made sense to him. He figured he wouldn’t live anyways, because Blaise was stronger than him, so he told the younger man to take what he needed, so at least they’d both be out of pain faster.

Once Blaise recovered from his shock and Seth had recovered from the insane amount of pain he’d been put through, he told Blaise to come home with him. Blaise was stunned, but Seth had refused to accept no, and eventually Blaise went along just so Seth wouldn’t touch him and make it more difficult to avoid draining Seth dry. Shortly thereafter, Seth explained that his father had been an Ascended whose powers had also caused him a great deal of mental pain, so Seth had recognized what Blaise was.

After a great deal of work convincing Blaise that no, he wasn’t going to kill him, Seth managed to convince his friend to move off the continent, because he realize there was no way in hell American would be safe with the DAA there. He’s given up his old dreams of fashion design for now, because he’s pretty sure that helping Blaise is more important. Now he works at a café, where he uses his wit, endless charm and just a little bit of snark to get people to leave tips in the tip jar. He also serves as a source of energy for Blaise, because Blaise actively tries not to kill him, so it causes less long-term trouble due to temptation.

Powers: None, he is 100% human.

Though calming Blaise down when angry should probably count as one.

Paraphernalia: A stun gun, a cross necklace that hides a 2 ½ inch knife, and a switchblade he keeps in his pocket.
