well, now, as soon as aura fixes the dragon nation, it would appear that we are ready for take off gang.
with that in mind here are some final things I'm not sure if we mentioned or not, but you get them anyways:
-we're not going to be incredibly strict with the second tier starters. you can start characters off at this level with little permission needed. however, they can't be over an estimated level 5, and don't make all of your characters second tier. besides, if you make your characters lower levels, you get to see more promotions, which are BIT-CHEN!
-laguz and special classes can go up to an estimated level 30, to make up for the fact they can't class change to a third tier or at all. once again, levels aren't real, they're a method of estimating skill level.
-fire emblem is about strategy. it is not about who has the bigger weapon, or who can fire a laser. Its about effectively carrying out a plan of attack. which units will be most effective, how to move them, and how to minimalize casualties are key. no character will ever be the best. if you've read the classes, then you know that every character has a weakness, so if you sending your character against their weakness, and you don't have an effective strategy, we will call you out on it.
-aura is playing a sort of 'dungeon master' if you will. if your characters have some down time, or just came out of the most intense battle ever, be prepared to fight off random bandits. just a heads up. Fire emblem is notorious for inconvienient bandit attacks.
-be realistic with the time it takes to get places. you're not going to get from the capital of Galiere to Ts'vien in a week. especially on foot. we may implement some time skips if we need to get to important places and nothing else is going on with it.
-don't be afraid to kill people off. in fire emblem, if you don't take care of a character, they die off perminatly most of the time. feel free to make disposable characters. this is war! people die. ^^
as quoted by aura: "I'm going to be extremely fair with my characters. If they are in a situation where there's no way I can save them, or they can't escape, I will kill them off, even if they are my favorite character. I don't expect you to have this much dedication but, keep it in mind that if they should die, you should kill them."
on that note. my final remark is lets have some fun and remember: you can't shoot up.
