"It started for me when I came across General Morcov's body. He and his guards were lying there, dead. It seemed the General was caught off guard and died without the chance to fight...his men tried to avenge him." Thaddeus says, coldly. "I had my men pursue and we chased the dogs down to the Duke's manor."
Thaddeus looks up at the King. "While he was waiting for his wife and children to come back to celebrate his youngest's first birthday the assassins broke in and killed him too. I arrived as they escaped. They were good, managed to wound me. I used my SPSRL weapon to confuse them and attempt to destroy them but they were too good. In spite of their youthful appearances they proved to be a match."
Thaddeus then rolls up his sleeve to show off his wound. "They managed to escape after they managed to bring a roof down between us with my SPSRL...thought that will not prove problematic." He then turns to Adris. "Sir Adris here helped me interrogate a dying member of their squad. He has information we may find useful."

"Adris was it?...not General Vadirum's son?" Eldrast asks
"Yes sire." Adris says
"I thought you looked familiar. Well what did you extract from the worm?"
"The group was an organization of Tektallian rebels. Their objective is to overthrow you and libertate their former courntry my lord. Up until recently they restricted themselves to theft from nobels, but they had decided to make a move in hopes of inspiring others to join their cause. Unfortunately they were sucessful to an extent." Adris says "The most disturbing thing though, is that there was a particular assassin, the one who commited the murders, injured Thaddeus, and stole his SPSRL. After reviewing the facts and circumstances around the attack, we fear this assassin is if not a member, related somehow to the nobility."
"A traitor? In the nobility? How did you come to this?" Latalia asks
"General Marcov could remember anything, we think perhaps the assassin spoke and he recognized his voice. Also, his voice when he spoke to Thaddeus, was not the voice he used to talk to his companions."
Eldrast frowns "troubling indeed...." he mutters glancing at Latalia "I am glad I had you stay my dear...I fear this has to do with your task..." he looks at Relena "If there is a traitor within the nobility, these assassins may have commited a greater crime than you know."

"As you know, my son the Prince is very ill." the Emperor stands "Months ago, there was a group of slaves, both human and those filthy robots, who escaped. Shortly after, Elric grew ill. We thought it was a natural illness, however..." he folds his arms behind him and paces "we have discovered that someone has caused him to be ill. And we have long suspected that it was one of the escaped slaves, and the most troubling, perhaps his own slave. The one he treated as a friend. Latalia has be charged with researching the culprit, and the Prince's severe curse. If, this hooded boy is the one in charge of this illness, he must be executed. Along with all of the rebels and any Tektallian dogs who dare defy my rule." Eldrast looks at them "Relena, you and your men will work with Latalia in finding them. As I believe you search for the same men." he looks to Thaddeus and Adris "Adris, you are going to be placed directly under the command of Thaddeus and Relena. Unless Relena doesn't want you, in which case you will serve under Latalia. Your power will be useful should you acquire another of them. If you capture them, keep them alive. I want to see them hang, as will my son, should he be in good enough health. Now then, boys, go. I wish to speak to the ladies alone."
Adris bows.

"My Lord, one final word. The assassin claimed he killed the Duke was embezzling from you. We have recovered proof of this, and Adris' previous superior is conducting the investigation. I do not believe the family was involved so I pray mercy on them in this dark hour." Thaddeus bows again. "That is why I think for certain this Sairca, the one that did the killing, is a traitor in our ranks. Now iw ill be off as you wished."
"Enjoy your date." Relena whispered as they left.
"She didn't protest so...welcome to the team." Thaddeus says to Adris.
Relena stands there, awaiting the continuation of their conversation.

The Emperor waits for the boys to be long gone. "Now then, Relena, because you will be investigating with Latalia, you must know the truth. This is a secret that only a very select group of people know. You are to by not means speak of this to anyone but myself, and Latalia. Not even your Thaddeus, otherwise I would have let him stay." he looks at her "Elric is not ill. He's missing. Gone without a trace or clue as to where he went. I find it hard to think he could have been taken captive, but that is the most likely case." he says "the illness is a story created to keep our people worry free, and keep order in my Empire. I do not want every noble in the land crawling at my heels begging to know who is next in line for the throne after Elric, because there is no next in line. As you know he is the only heir, as is tradition. He must be found."

"Elric....taken?" Relena looked mortified. "Uncle I swear no rebel will be left standing for this. I wipe them all out to get him back if I must."

"Just bring them alive. They will hang." The Emperor says "Elric is fond of you both. Do not let him down." he says "I need to be heading back to the capital, my business here is done. You two have plans to make, and Relena, unless Thaddeus does it, you have a new soldier to brief."

"My lady will have to brief you since I am...indisposed." Thaddeus reaches into his pocket and pulls out a ring. "Signt hat you work for my Lady. Gives you full access."

Adris takes the ring and puts it on "Thanks, now you better get that wound taken care of before that date." he smiles

Latalia bows and turns to leave.

Latalia walks with Relena, slightly irritated that she now had to work with a child. She hoped that Relean was more mature than her age entitled. So far she seemed it.

Thaddeus the n begins to undo his shirt. "Good, you drive, I stitch." He then steps outside and looks at the guard. "Fetch me my car, give him the keys."
"Sir, that cut..." The guard says.
"I have alcohol to disinfect it and a sewing needle in my car. GET IT." Thaddeus snaps, sending the guard running. "Stuttering fool. It's not THAT deep."

"If you say so." Thaddeus says. "We need tyo go by my house. I ran out of gauze during my last mission." On his body there were many scars from blade, burns and even a few bullets. "And I need a new shirt."
