Also, if this is 19th century weaponry, then shouldn't there be rifles? the had gunpowder before they had steam technology. And rifles are kinda, well, portable, lol. There were some flintlock pistols too.

Though you are absolutely correct, we'd rather not. ^^ with the psycic abilities, there's really no need for them, because everyone's gunna wanna have a breed of phycic power house, (I already have one planned) I know it might sound stupid, it probably is, but the tree of us who really did teh work on creating this idea, all agreed, guns= turrets and oversized, ridiculous hand guns.

hmmm, it's a strech, on one hand, they are robots and are the most technologically advanced of the countries.
I think you could get away with it, but, you'd have to be careful, because to fire the gun would have to use some of the robot's own steam. so, there'd be risks to massive gunfire...but seeing as a robot can't have powers, I think it's fair to let them have some guns. Aura, AP, got any issues with that?
and for the record, I'm thinking, robots are mostly run through gears, with small steam motors that 'rewind' them when need be to keep them running continuously.

Not a problem with the robo-guns...but yeah, they'd still be steam powered. And we're still not talking today's kind of guns....just better than Aura's dudes attempt at one.

So, could, like, a built in gatling gun work? I mean, obviously it's not going to be a constant use weapon. Just more of a thing to keep on par with you guys and your psychic powers.
Also, how do we go with explosions in this? Are there, like, rockets or any sort of explosive device? Or what? I know we don't have rocket fuel or gas or oil and such, but I'm hoping there is at least gunpowder, so maybe more primitive things. I'm just trying to work with things here so I don't just have robots as armored humanoids with increased strength and durability but no ranged anything.
Also, how do we fly about with this? Is it just hot air ballons? Or are they more like propeller-based steam powered "ships"?

as for explosives, if you can propell it with steam, I think you're good.
like, you could have a frag gerenade that used steam to increae the pressure until the metal blows. that sorta' stuff.

So, instead of rocket propelled grenades, we have...steam propelled grenades? Lol, ok...I guess I could work with that.
Oh, hey, could I use steam to heat up metal and use it as sort of "red-hot metal" swords? Kinda like, I dunno, a medieval torch-cutter thing plus melee weapon.
