As Malus and Roy turn a corner they nearly bump into Illyana and company.
"Whoa, sor...HEEEEY." Malus smiles. "What's up guys?" He was happy to see them all. "Hey Mort, did your muscles start growing their own muscles? You look a bit more buff."
Roy smiles and waves. "Hi, it's been a while, hasn't it?"

Leah seemingly appears from behind Roy, and rested her head on his shoulder.
"Why hello people." She said happily. She kissed Malus on the cheek, and then Roy on the neck.
"Malus, you know Roys right. I know I've said it a million times, but its not fair. Roy your hair shouldn't look better than mine in a ponytail." She said tugging his long hair. She still looked the same, her hair was longer than it had been at the end of their first year.
"What do you think of the outfit" she said sticking her tongue out at him. She was clad in a pair of light blue jeans, a white T-shirt, and a black vest. Her feet were bare however.
Kris quietly stepped out from around a corner and stood in front of Nabiki. Over the summer they'd gotten to train together, eat and basically live under the same roof. Kris had chosen to stay with his new Oni clan, after a month with Artorus, realizing his need to better understand his fire and lightning magica. A task which Lord Nobunaga had made sure hed learn.
"Hey Nabi." He said with a small nod to her. He bowed his head slightly.

"You do look better, though you did say the new shade was a plus." Roy turns to her. "You, as always, look adorably hot."
Malus laughs. "Ahh, yeah, he usually is."

"Hey Kris." Nabiki seemed a bit sullen. "Did you see Ryuji? If not try not to. He's not feeling very social. And..enough with the bowing, you know I hate that."

Kris scratched the back of his head for the millionth time.
"Yeah sorry, just a habit. I saw him earlier this morning. He...well I think you know. I kinda just nodded towards him, and he kinda just walked by. There's nothing that can be said. How are you holding up. Since it....it happend, we havnt really talked. I missed....that." he said carefully, trying not to sound in his opinion greedy. He'd missed their talks over the few weeks before school had started.
"I know its a rough time, and just like before, if you need an ear,at two in the morning, mines available." He said fighting the urge to bow his head again.
Leah smiled and giggled a bit,
"Well thanks baby, Mortus, how was your summer? Illy, Lance? How were yours."

Mortus smiles "It was great, though it was tough without my little sister around." he says "Lance and I had a good time though."
Illyana nods "Yeah, mine was good too. Isaac and I had some crazy adventures." she chuckles.

"I couldn't. I had to stay home until my meds ended and my body stabilized. Though that hurt like all get out." Roy says. "But I'm not unstable anymore."
"Physically at any rate." Malus jokes.
"You should talk Mr. Moodswing." Roy says.

Leah smacked Roy in the back playfully.
" be nice to your emotional Moltov Cocktail of a brother." She said with a laugh.
Kris simply nodded,
" I understand. Just, like I said, I'm here for you. No matter what. But uh...well we should get going to class though. Sit with you at lunch?" He asked her, gently touching her hand before letting go and giving her a big smile.
Just then Artorus appeared behind Kris.
"Listen Lover boy, I will not have you being late for my first class of the semester!!!" He said almost angrily. He grabbed Kris by the ear and began pulling him away. His long robes flowing in the apparent always active wind field around him.
"Nabi, ow ill ow I'll talk pass teach let go!!! Later!!!!" He said as he was pulled around the corner and out of site.

Merlin stroked his long white beard, he absent mindedly petted the small Tiger Minx sitting on his lap. The creature looked like a lion, but it was the size of a common house cat. His gaze was fixed upon a large crystal ornament on his desk in front of him. Black shadows seemed to be swirling inside, his brow forrowed, almost as if he understood the shadows meaning.
"Hmmm....this bodes ill for my plans." He said with another low sigh.
Kris suffered through his first advanced Air class, Artorus had basically taught him everything that was going to be covered this first semester over the summer. He took the notes that he knew that he would need to study, and listened to Artorus and even demonstrated certain tricks for the class when he was called upon. A few of the other students looked impressed, while others looked annoyed.
He couldn't help hide his smile when others seemed to struggle with things he was doing so easily now. His gem sparked under his shirt, but he paid no attention to it.

Kris smiled as he packed his rucksack and tossed his "Advanced Air Dynamics: A study of the wonders of air magica" text book into the only remaining pocket.
"Sheesh thanks buddy. I do have better things to do than....well..It's complicated." he said with a smirk. "Besides, I was being trained by her dad and the clan leader. I could only talk to her between lessons on how not to get my face crushed in by an Oni 101. Did you know that Oni have n even bigger cousin? Lord Nobunaga made me and Nabi fight him and one of those things." Kris said with a small shudder.

"I know of them. I did research on her clan some time after her Dad's started working here. Remember how bi if a nerd I am?" Roy smirks. "I didn't doo too much work on my wind stuff...but I did well enough. But I mastered other things. If we gotta fight in any of these tests...watch out."

(3months later......)
Snow, and more snow....it had been Snowing at A.W.E. For almost a month straight. A freak ice and snow blizzard. It had apparently come from nowhere, but many of the teachers gave off an air the said they knew more than they were letting on. The night was cold outside, but inside the castle the students of the school were relatively warm. Kris Agro sat with his friends, Leah the Catgirl, Roy the now "real boy", Malus the black dragon and Nabiki, the Oni Kris had his heart set on. His ex girlfriend Illyana sat with her brother Mortus, and their friend Zain.
Merlin sat at the head table, along with the other teachers. He stroked his long white beard and sipped his tea. The day of their exams were coming, and he truly wondered if they were ready for the voyage into the mountains. The place was far from safe, but would their friendship be able to withstand the coming onslaught?
he smiled and sipped his tea once more.
Kris lifted his pumpkin juice filled goblet over Roy's head and dumped it out, only for the falling liquid to be caught mid air by Leah's water magic. It stayed suspended before she launched it back at Kris. He lowered his cup and it splashed back in, not a single drop spilling out.
" nicely done Leah!!!" the White Dragon shouted out with a smile.
" No picking on my boyfriend!!!" she yelled back laughing.
