((Time skip about 2-3 hours. The city has been surrounded on all sides by Arcadisian forces. No attack has been launched yet.))
Altoné stood at the top of a small hill. The Arcadisian army stood, weary staring at the city of Lavstin. Altoné looked through a spyglass toward the city. Everything was calm from here, but he could tell that inside the rebels were preparing at a breakneck pace.
His second in command, Bryce could confirm that. The man was buff, but shorter than Altoné. He may have had more muscle, but he was always the weaker fighter. His battles were those of the mind.
"They are a bit more stressed out than we are. That much I can tell." Bryce said as he opened his eyes. The man stood up from the small chair he had been sitting in and walked over to Altoné.
"Good." Altoné turned around and headed into the camp they had set up below the hill.
Altoné entered a tent, followed by Bryce. Inside were a couple generals, who were currently looking over a map of the city.
"General Malvern." Altoné saluted the large man. His muscles bulged underneath his armor. His bushy brow was sweating, and his beard was even more messy than usual.
"What do you want, boy?" The old man spat at Altoné.
"I have come to tell you that everything is in position. We are prepared to infiltrate the city. We just need your attack." Altoné spoke calmly.
Malvern growled slightly. "The Viceroy shouldn't be wasting my talent as a mere distraction! Damn Tektallian...If I were in command we'd have no need for this sneaky crap. We have them surrounded, why not strike?" The man spat out.
"The Viceroy will expect your assault to begin soon. I will be heading out." Altoné left the tent and walked toward another tent in the camp. This one had only one person in it.
Bryce stood guard at the door as Altoné walked in a bowed.
"We are almost ready to leave Aleine. Are you prepared?" Altoné asked the woman.
---
Arcke gulped as he looked from a bell tower outside of the castle, but still in the city. He sighed and grabbed the radio he had set up near him.
"Langstrom...It's not looking good. All I see is Arcadisian 360 degrees around us...I can't even see the Sectorian army on the southern horizon...This city is not meant for a siege...They are going to crush us within the day, if Blitzcrank doesn't show up soon..."
Langstrom sighed from the radio room he had set up in the main castle. He looked toward King Jack and the others who had gathered there.
"It's not looking good...."
"I understand..." Jack spoke calmly. His face was a shield of determination and strength. Any sign of stress was missing, or pushed to the side. Jack had assumed his role as leader, and was prepared to fight to the fullest. He had decided to forgo traditional armor, or kingly robes and instead just went with the clothes he had. When offered a sword from a Tektallian soldier, he refused. His hand fell to the chinese yo-yos his father had given him. These simple toys he had used to perfect his power, were now his ultimate weapon.
"We don't have much...Our ragtag group of friends, some Tektallian soldiers that we freed from the dungeons, and a few SPSRL...This is our strength....And we will all fight to make the most of it." Jack said determined.

"Please, I spotted two weaknesses in their line up as it is." Relena says. "They seem too reliant on numbers. If we can employ some tactics to strike some panic in themw e could increase our odds."
"My Ares is on standby." Largos chimes in on another line.
"One Ares Mech isn't going to tip the scales Numbnuts." Relena says.
------------------
Thaddeus stands there in the castle doorway. "You understand I am only working with you for the sake of my wife and Relena. I want NOTHING to do with you once this war is over."
"I understand...even if you don't." Scorpio smiles. "And i am ready to help in any way I can."
"No mind slaves." Thaddeus says.
"You're not the boss of me Child." Scorpio says.

"They may be overconfident because of their numbers, but they have the right. this city isn't built with war in mind." Elric says from another line.
----------
Lucretio looks around a courtyard, admiring some clockwork decorations on the wall. He had helped all he could, but eventually he had just been told to find someplace safe. he looks at the gears and touches them. he feels a small one and it wiggles like it could turn. he looks at it a moment, and then out of curiosity, turns it. the gear conected to it turns, and a chain reaction starts. Lucretio smiles, finding the art facinating, until the ground jerks. his eyes widen as the ground around the city starts to shake "...Oh geez...." he mutters
-------
Aleine nods and stands up "Yes, I am." she says, an then she feels a temor "What?"
---
"It's about time." Libra chuckles, as the city shakes and shifts. she looks at Scorpio "It's about time they found that little switch, hmm?" she sighs "I do love this city..."

Jack noticed as the floor began to shift slightly.
"What?...What's going on?" Jack asked.
Langstrom shrugged. "It wasn't me. I swear." Langstrom turned back to the radio. " Anyone know what is happening?" He asked all of his operators.
"This is Arcke. It's not the Arcadisians. Do you think it's an earthquake?"

Lucretio hears the conversation on his radio and hesitates to answer. "It's not an earthquake. I swear I was trying to stay out of trouble...and the gears...and I can't help myself I turned it and then they all started turning and I'm sorry...." he mutters.
-------
Libra smiles hearing the conversation. she looks at someone with a radio "May I?" she asks and takes it "It's alright everyone." she starts "Prince James, were you and your siblings ever told stories about your city? Its legends?" she smiles at Scorpio, like this was some sort of little joke between them.
"Please get on with it Miss Libra." Elric asks
"Oh alright. This city was originally built by the orbis, before we left. This was a very long time ago though. Sir Lucretio just found a switch, that turns Lavstin from a beautiful city, into a magnificent fortress." Libra smiles.

Thaddeus looks at the Orbis with annoyance. "Any...other secrets we need know of?"

"In our defense most of us don't remember where the switch was. It's very small." Libra says "And without knowing where is really was, it was better to have you work with certainties, than search for it and be overwhealmed."

"Sir" Bryce spoke as he entered the tent. "You may want to see this..."
Altoné walked out of Aleine's tent and looked toward the city. Something was changing about it. The whole city was trembling, and entire buildings were moving. Not falling over, but instead were just shifting.
"What's this?" Altoné was even confused.

The citty of Lavstin was indeed shifting. What many had thought were just decorations, were actually gears in a mechanism. the entire city was shifting, buildings sliding in close together, walls rising up, and the towers that surrounded the castle at each clock position were now key points in the exterior walls, as the walls rising around the city locked into them. The interior of the city was now like a long labrynth. It was a straight shot, without any multiple paths, but it was long and winding. But the time the gears had stopped moving, Lavstin had become a well defended fortress with many prime areas to attack from. What had once been several openings was now only three, one to the south between the six and seven o'clock towers, one between the eleven and twelve, and one between the two and three. the entire city was surrounded by a 15ft drop off from the city moving in on itself.

Altoné gasped slightly. He returned his attention to the camp and the soldiers as they wondered and stared at the fortress of a city now.
General Malvern had exited his tent and come to stand closer to the front lines to observe the city. Altoné interrupted him as he just finished yelling orders to a runner.
"General Malvern." Altoné spoke politely.
"What do you want!?" Malvern spat at the man.
"I'm sorry for the inconvience, but the Viceroy will demand the attack soon." Altoné spke flatly.
"I need damn time now! We need a new strategy, a new battle plan now that we're facing a goddamn fortress." Malvern looked down at the ground and scratched his beard a she spoke.
"We don't have time for that. Every moment we wait, the SPSRL army closes in on your rear."
"Look. I got enough problems now without you reminding me about the damn junkheaps closing in! My job is to focus on taking back the city." Malvern growled.
"There is an opening straight ahead. Send your troops straight in, or I tell the Viceroy you deliberately stalled and disobeyed his orders." Altoné spoke without emotion.
The look on Malverns face was of sheer anger. His face turned red, even slightly purple. His jaw was tightly closed and his eyes were wide with emotion.
"I'm not going to send my men into an unknown situation, which is most likely a trap...Especially not under the orders...of a damn Tektallian!" Malvern was able to keep his cool until the last few words.
Altoné's eyes narrowed and an almost evil tint came over them.
Malvern howled with anger and bloodlust. "I'll kill all the Tektallians! Every one! The Viceroy, the royalty, the peasants all the damn Tektallians!"
Altoné gestured toward the clockwork city behind him. "Lavstin still has manny Tektallians. And almost of the remaining princess and princesses are there."
Malvern's eyes burned with a bright hatred. An almost inhuman hatred.
"Men! We charge the city! It doesn't matter if it's a fortress now. If it's Tektallian made, and Tektallian owned we will destroy it! Every man, woman, and child that is not of our pure Arcadisian bloodline must be purged from this world. Attack!" Malvern screamed.
The Arcadisian's followed suited. The ranks charged forward, swords and spears outstretched as they made their way across the meadow that seperated them from the city. Steam cannons in the mids of the army began to chug along as they fired their volley of cannons and bombs toward the city walls.
The battle of Lavstin had begun.
Altoné smirked. He returned to Bryce and the two other elite soldiers they had brought with them. Aleine was also with them.
"Alright. Let us slip into the next rank of soldiers. We will break away after we get into the cities walls, and we will make our way to the capitol building. Aleine will get her escort, and we will stop the rebels at their heart." Altoné spoke softly but firmly to his men and Aleine.
---
" This is Arcke. The Arcadisians have began *BRKKKK*...Damn! They're...*RRRRK*...They've begun their attack! We've got an army rushing the...the new southern entrance...Not to mention they're firing at least a dozen steam cannons at us..."
Jack nodded. He quickly grabbed a radio transmitter and spoke to everyone he had deployed.
"This is it everyone...The mment where we prove our strength. This new setup for the city may benefit us, but the layout for everyone and everything has changed. We need to figure out where everyone and everything is. Get to a position to defend this city. For your family, friends, and our nation we must win!" Jack spoke to everyone.
Jack set down the transmitter and nodded once at Langstrom who gave the King a thumbs up.
Jack started out toward the battle, Leaving the Proffessor to his machines and the radio.

The Ares begins to move on that command.
"Don't worry, the last thing those assholes will be expecting is this bad boy breathing down their necks." Largos says as he starts up his truck, on his right was Gonzales and behind them very mass produced copy of him they had. "LET'S GO FUCK THEM UP!!"
------------
Relena was busy with a pen and paper. "Mapping out the city as I see it now. Give me like 5 minutes." she says, continually glancing out of a window.
-------------
Thaddeus stands there. "Zodiac....go make yourselves useful and get out of my sight."
"For now anyways...but we will see each other soon...my heir." Scorpio says. "Zodiac...let's GO!!"

Lio smiles from his position at Relena's comment. "That's my girl..." he looks to Elric "Let's set up an ambush point." he says "And, if you're still off from their comments. Concentrate on their SPSRL." he grins.
----------
Libra chuckles "Don't go making decisions on what we're called on your own dear Scorpio." she says and walks off "Oh, it's been so long since I've fought. I hope I'm not rusty."

The Arcadisians had made it the walls of the city. The moat like drop stopped their momentum for a mintue, then two. Men began setting up planks, jumping, and doing anything in their power to get over. A few men trickled into the opening and made their way into the city. However they soon found out that despite the fact that the city was open in three different areas, it would still be a hard battle.
The first group of Arcadisians rounded a corridor after entering one of the new entrances to the cities. Sheer walls rose up around them, and left them with a narrow corridor to work down as they advance farther into the city. First it would hold about five men shoulder to shoulder, but as they went it slowly trickled down until it was a single file of soldiers, moving at an almost walking pace.
Arcke found himself at the end of on of these corridors. A small room opened up where he could set up. He watched the narrow channel of Arcadisians, slowly march toward him.
The first man in line held a sword and shield, however the corridor barely allowed him to move either. Arcke readied his spear and stabbed into the corridor as the Arcadisians first gto close enough. The Arcadisian tried to raise his shield but it caught on the wall. He was stabbed in the chest and easily toppled over.
The next man attempted to jump slightly and throw his lance, but the end hit the wall sending it flying under Arcke's legs. If it had been more open of a battlefield Arcke would have likely been hit. The man tried to pull a knife out, but Arcke quickly pierced him as well in the leg. He crumbled over, and Arcke quickly pulled a knife out as well and threw it into the man's throat.
After these two men went down it made it even harder for the men to pass. Two bodies crumbled in this narrow corridor made it extremely difficult for the Arcadisian's to advance.
An Archers arrow manage to slip by and hit Arcke in the shoulder. Arcke fell back slightly as a couple men managed to slip over the bodies.

"Try to stop the SPSRL without killing as much as possible. We don't want to piss off Blitzcrank by being too barbaric." Sydney says as she steps outside and takes flight.
"Yeah...what she said." Relena says over the radio.
-------------
"I'm just humoring Saggi's little brat." Scorpio says. "Though humans have been calling us that for years...the few that recall the 'old wive's tales' that is."
-------------
"Anna, secure Arcke, tend to his wound. I got this." Lewis stands in the way of those charging. "You face the grandson of the Unyielding Blade. Tread carefully, you who are about to die." He raises his arm and fires an arrow, striking down a guard trying to move the bodies before drawing his sword and cutting down the ones charging him without any sign of real effort. "Flamethrower units, move in. Keep them at bay."
Two men, from Largos' company, move in and fire flames at the narrow passage.
"The double edged sword of this fortress mode. It's new to us as well." Lewis looks back. "How is he?"
---------------
"My God, I didn't know it could do that." Michael says as he looks through binoculars. "The Castle...if only it did that way back then..."
"It's not enough, they need us there." Jebidiah says. "HEY BOSS, WE NEED TO GET OUR CYLINDERS POUNDING TIL THEY MELT. THEY NEED US!!!" He yells to Blitzcrank.

Arcke panted slightly as he moved back into the small room. The Arcadisians were being completely destory by the flame thrower. The Arcadisians pushed back against the others who ddi not see the danger ahead. They fell back, but still lost many.
Arcke looked past the men from Largos' company. "They're falling back."
The Arcadisians had retreated farther down the hallway were they had some room to move. An SPSRL unit came to the front of the group and rushed forward on a pair of treads. From it's back, a steam rifle began spinning up.
"It's gonna fire!" Arcke shouted to the men.
---
Jack made his way to another hallway in the new fortress of Lavstin. There he found one of Langstrom's SPSRL holding his own. The hallway was getting cramped with bodies, but the SPSRL continued to smash, crush and otherwise obliterate any Arcadisians came through.
"Alright...What else-" Jack was cut off as an explosion ripped the wall above him apart. Jack quickly altered the gravity, causing the huge fragments to float. Jack rushed away as more blasts ripped apart the building near him.
"Whay are they targeting...?" Jack pondered. Another blast destroyed a large section of building. Some grappling hooks latched onto the wall as Arcadisian soldiers and SPSRL climbed the ruin wall into the city.
"Damn it. We got soldiers pouring into the city. The outside wall. The north...eastern section...I think this is the 11 o'clock tower...Yes...it is. Good. It's in the same place, just on the wall now." Jack pondered to himself, and also told Langstrom and the others.
