You've seen how screwed up Malus and Dad are over it, how it did THIS to me." Roy gestures to...all of him. "Kris is literally saying he'd rather die than see one second of that suffering come your way. You're in your right to hate it but...try to understand."

I want her to be happy, so I'm saying I hope you and your dad can get to know each other. All I'm asking...is that you support me now. You've always believed in me, and now I have a goal. The first step is my Harrowing." Kris said to her, trying his best to hide the hurt he felt inside.
Leah crossed her arms,

He went so far as to make that false marriage with Malus' mother to get their secret and give her a son, though betrayal lead to them parting ways too soon. He found my daughter again and they married and conceived Roy." Nicodemus stops. "She died of a natural birth and that devastated Felix. He at least wished it to be something else in his grief, so he could at least have someone to turn it on. But in the end he turned his pain on me and we parted ways until now. Hence why Roy knows nothing of me." He looks at Leah. "What has he said of my daughter?" |

"I think he's worried if his Mom's memory gets involved you might think the wrong thing. He hates that he never had her, and his desperation to protect you is both because he loves you and...he doesn't want to lose you like he did her. but that you know."
He sighs. "But what only I know, and what i think Roy might be realizing is...she died to make sure he was born. He...was not going to be born into this world alive. She...gave up her life force to him so he could come into this world." Nicodemus looks at her. "I tihnk that is at the root of Roy's issues as of late."

"No it's not his dilemma at all." Nicodemus says. "It's Felix that needs to be worried about. Roy lives due to his mother's spirit. If Felix gets dumb and tries to revive her...Roy will die. Roy will accept because he has you. Felix...is an idiot. I cannot stop him. I need you, one who he has reached out to, to stop him instead."

"Alright, alright, alright, calm down here.," Merlin says, waving his hands lightly in front of himself. "You two keep talking on about dragons and rituals but you keep forgetting that Illyana is the daughter of a red dragon. And when red dragons are angry, it's best to give them their space."
Merlin sighed. "It doesn't really help that you're goal happens to be a lost cause anyways Kris. Regardless of laws or regulations, beating some trial to get your own clan won't get you truly accepted. Sort of a hollow victory there. That, and it's hard for you to ask Illyana to support you when that's preeeetty much what she does anyways from what I can see."

Kris hissed slightly.
"It's something I need to do. Something I need to do in order to help my people." Kris said glaring at the floor.
"My....people are dying. Under that tyrants rule. I won't let them die, not like this." He stood up slowly.
"Illy....do what you want, I love you. But if...this is how you want it to be....I...I can't fight you anymore. I won't, I want you to be happy. If....if its gotta be like this, just know, you've made me happier than I've ever been. Merlin sir, I have to go. I'm bleeding pretty bad." He said looking at his bloody bandages and wrist.

Merlin nods sadly. "I understand Kris. I can't have you leave the castle until the finals are done, but after that...do what you feel you should do." Merlin waves his hands so the bindings come off of Kris, dropping the chair that was hanging on him to the ground. Snapping his left fingers, a door springs up from the ground and opens up to the hallway.
