It had been a day since the battle with the Midnighters. Gabriel and the others rested up as best they could, most checking into hotels in orders to give Tanner something of a break. However with the morning they decided to meet up at a Denny's (Ford insisted) to talk on their next step.
"So...what are you ordering?" Ford asks.
"I'm not really hungry." Gabriel says.
"Eat, you know you need to." Gabe scolds him.
"Tch." Gabriel hot him a glare. "Just because we're the same person..."

"Oh, we can just have the waitress put us all down for some Grand Slamwitches. They're veery popular." Wolfrik says in an odd voice.
Tanner walks in and joins them, muttering something about an abomination to the culinary world. "Morning."

"Bonjour Tanner." Chantal was tired but doing alright. "Was there any sign of Monsieur Slater or James and the others outside?"
"Why not?" Gabriel says. "Put me down for one Wolf."
"Where's the coffee?" Ford says. "I need my cup of joe."

Cayne entered the restaurant with a yawn; he'd gone home for the night, made up a lie for where he'd been and another that would cover sporadic absences for anywhere from a few weeks to a month or two. It certainly helped to have a lot of friends, most of whom would cover for him without asking for reasons why. He plopped into an empty spot with a sigh, "Hey guys, and yeah, coffee's good," He agreed. "And food."

Elijah and co had rented a hotel for the night and were all now awake, bathed and clothed. Now that they were all in Chicago, the next question had come up; what were they supposed to do now?

"I just heard James in my head. He's close." Gabe says.

Rebecca had been sulking all night. She hardly spoke and it was annoying even Becky.
"Looks like the love bug bit her hard, huh Maria?" James says.

"I saw Slater on the phone outside his hotel as I passed." Tanner says "Don't say anything to him, but he looks like hell. I almost didn't recognize him...he didn't shave, and he looks like he was up all night."
"Dude....Those things are gross. Why would you want one? Even my...buddies won't eat them." Wolfrik says and leans forward "they put mayonaise on eggs and bacon and maple spread!" he whispers.
((OOC: the humor of this is found in that aura and I went to Deny's for dinner tonight. lol))

"Man I didn't think even a prego lady would eat one of those. But whatever, it's your stomache." Wolfrik says "Let's see...I'm going to vant....bacon...eggs...pancakes...hashbrowns...ham...toast. So if I go with the grand slam...with a side of the other two....right. I'm going to need six of those."
Tanner looks over the menu.
Slater enters and tells the greeter he was with the others. he walks over and sits down. he looks exhausted and somewhat scruffy.
"Morning Slater." Wolfrik says
"Hey..."

"Easy answer. My inheritance." Gouken says. "I'm a billionaire."
"Oh..." Chantal was surprised. "Really?"
"Yes. The M...Morning Star's never learned of it so I am safe to live off of it. I'm set for life." Gouken says.
"Then I can choose what you like then." Chantal says.

Kris leaned his head against the wall. He only had 3 pills left, before he needed to get more. Unfortunately, he had no clue where the closest pharmacy was, not to mention he still felt odd, as if they were being watched.
"So, should we just keep going, I mean there's bound to be more of those guys around....still chasing us." He said to the group.
Gina looked around and smiled.
"I guess."

Maria nods "Got it. Come on, I can see the others." she says putting a hand on Rebecca's shoulder "Hey now...he'll be ok. You can get Eli to keep an eye on him, and force Slater to track down a phone number to talk to him. He's a Fed, he can do it." she says with a smile as they walk in. "We're with the big group in back." she tells the greeter.
Wolfrik smiles "You better believe it." he looks and sees Maria and Rebecca "There's the girls. James must be outside."
Slater looks up at them and then back down at the menu.

Cayne waved a hand lightly at the girls in greeting, "Yay for rich friends that can save my bank account." He commented lightly, because despite generally good tips, being a waiter part-time wasn't the best of jobs. "Thanks."
