NEW CHARACTERS ((Don't worry, they aren't Naruto -.-)) TO CELEBRATE ISIS COMING BACK!!!!!
First one!!!
Name: Marcus Lyson
Age: 16
Gender: Male
Paraphernalia: Four daggers (one hangs at his side, he has one hidden in each sleeve and the fourth is strapped to his leg) and a satchel that's normally got food, a book or two and traveling supplies in it.
Height: 5’10”
Weight: 170lbs
Hair: Dark brown, it hangs loosely around his shoulders
Eyes: Dark green
Description: Marcus is rather well muscled due to all of the work he’s had to do throughout his life, and it’s been developed to take a bit of a beating or strain.. His skin is tan from being outside and working in the sun so often. He has several scars from accidents and training exercises, especially over his hands and forearms. He normally wears simple, dark brown pants and a loose, lighter brown cotton shirt. His shoes are just as plain as the rest of his clothing, but it is all rather durable, and he keeps a brown traveling cloak with him as well
---------------------------
Likes: The simple things, having food and clothes, lounging in the sun, knowing he’s been successful, a good book, history.
Dislikes: Arrogance, idiocy, naivety
Hobbies: Reading (especially about history), practicing
Fears: Floods, drowning, starvation
Personality: Marcus isn’t blatantly cruel, but he’s also stubborn in his beliefs and doesn’t often adapt them. He’s a little skittish, having lived a simple life without man complications for many years, but he’s working on fixing that. He doesn’t talk very often, unless you get him started on something he likes, at which point he won’t be quiet at all. He's also been raised to be respectful, and often refers to people he doesn't know well as Sir or Ma'am. He's also incredibly loyal to Xander.
-------------------------------
Personal History: Marcus was raised in the country of Odela, on the western half where many of the great farms of the nation are. His family owned a smaller one of these farms, and though they weren’t rich, they didn’t often suffer unless there was a drought or some other natural disaster which messed with their livelihood.
At the age of fifteen, a man by the name of Xander Gylson came to his town, seeking shelter for a while. During this time they got to know each other, and though the man and his stories of the city fascinated Marcus, he was content to let him leave when the time came.
Two months later, Xander returned, this time wounded and seeking sanctuary. He had been attacked by members of the Rayim, or the imperial army. The people of Marcus’s town had liked the man, and upon discovering the reason behind the attack was that Xander had a Gift, they gave him his asylum and allowed him to recover there in relative sanctuary. While there he stayed with Marcus, as they had the best place for him to hide, and the two grew closer.
Eventually, Xander revealed to Marcus that part of his Gift was to give others a Gift, though he didn’t often do so because people didn’t always accept the foreign energy. He also explained that the reason he was attacked was that the Rayim feared him, because he was the only one who could challenge them, even if he didn’t want to do so. At that point, he offered to do so with Marcus, who after much deliberation accepted.
In the remaining 9 months that they’ve been together, Marcus has learned to harness his Gift and has done much training, though he still has a great deal to learn. They now reside with several of Xander’s servants in the house he calls home in the city of Leona.
--------------------------------------
Techniques: Like all of the Gifted, Marcus can cast minor wards on
the things he wants to protect, and he has mastered the basic strengthening spells that can protect buildings. He has also learned to manifest his powers in a whip of energy.
-Binding restraint: Marcus can use his Gift to encase his opponents in bindings that are invisible, but are stronger than steel.
-Enhancement: Marcus can enhance the senses of his allies or enemies. The good thing for the target is that it heightens the senses, the bad news is it makes spoken words sound like screams, scents become strong enough to choke the opponent, bright lights are beyond blinding, and even the smallest of wounds feel like gashes. This cannot be used on himself.
-Endless nightmare: Marcus can use his gift to trap his opponent in an illusion where their worst fears come to life before them.
-Hidden vendetta: Marcus can use his gift to exploit any tensions he ‘see’s among his allies. By using this technique, they are encouraged to take out each other. It’s not that he’s weakening or destroying their bonds, he’s just lowering their inhibitions.
-Strangler: Marcus creates tendrils of energy which move to choke his opponent.
-The hunt: Marcus creates a silver fox of energy which is sentient. This fox comes with an allure that makes Marcus’s enemies want to attack it, thus saving Marcus from attacks.
-Relational Empathy- Marcus’s unique ability, which is always active. Marcus can see how people are loyal to each other and who they despise and would rather kill. He can see the binding ties between individuals and large groups, which allows him to see who is loyal to who. This ability has saved him and Xander before, when people were debating on turning them in or betraying them to the Rayim.
--------------------------------
Place in the storyline he was taken: Nine months after leaving his home with Xander. The two were training and the next thing he knew, they weren’t in the city anymore.
World Info: Marcus is from a world which is nothing like earth. The continent he lives on has three countries (Odela, Mayomin and Reyana) and about ten percent of the population is Gifted. What this means is that they can use their energy to perform feats the average person isn’t capable of. Each gifted person also has a talent that is unique to them. The world is fairly medieval, but it has the benefit of magic which makes a good substitute for electricity and can solve most problems, not that the gifted are always appreciated or treated well.
((I might add in one or two more abilities. I doubt it, but I'm just throwing it out there. If I do after he gets approved (if he gets approved) I'll clear it with Noble/Isis. Yeah))
Next one in a bit....
