Yeah, I'm sure me and Ice can up with something for the Dragons or whatever. Kinda help in that regard I guess.
Basically though, don't go posting with characters who you just made bios for if we haven't given it the ok. We thought that would be a duh thing, but Noble/King/A Stronger Me here... <=/
That sort of stuff is kinda why everything went to hell in a hand basket back with Star of Transcendence when the RP started.
But anyways, I'm not here to rip on anyone, just saying.
In that regard, you'd have to bring that up with Ice Dynamax.
Also, I have something to say about the next segment of the RP too. We're almost done with the forest thing here since the whole point of that was to introduce Serenity, Nature Magic, and get rid of the curse on that Lightning Rune. The next part here is gonna be another Time skip to the end of the second semester (AKA The Finals).
What Ice and I want to do here is that we feel like everyone's kind of "shying away" from the original point of this RP, which was to have these characters that are "students" and training with their abilities. They aren't as powerful as your toons from other RPs, but they get better as the RP progresses. Yet, now everyone has all these teachers, villains, family members, etc., and a lot of the action seems to be revolving around them lately while the students have become more of a "Teenage gossip, drama, and otherwise general commentary" role.
This isn't bad though, don't think I'm complaining. And given the plot happenings this is to be expected. But still, like I said, everyone keeps throwing in these new characters that are already trained and have abilities instead of focusing more on the students. For example, each of the confrontations aside from the midterms thing have gone in the order of:
*Something happens, students under attack
*Dadadadaaaaa, here come the teachers/family members to save the day and blow everything up with their Fire/Lighting/Water/Earth/Air spells! ((Note a distinct lack of Ice/Crystal/Energy/ and SOUND abilities ever uses. Seriously, check it out. A majority of everyone's toons use Fire and Lighting, with Water thrown in just so they can get to Ice. That's ok though, ice and I are going to be fixing that pretty soon.))
*Bad guy person thing fights said teachers/family members, gets defeated, runs away
*Students are forgotten until afterwards, then just comment about the fight, clean up, and go back to the usual drama surrounding Nabiki/Zain/Kris.
*Rinse and Repeat.
So, back to the point! For this next part, we're going to make everyone, kindly of course, use only their students!
...Yeah, ok, not only, but for any fighting and stuff, its students only. These are the Finals for them and they're being tested, so the whole point is to see what they can do with each AND every one of their developing abilities. This means delegating the family members and teachers to a talking/advising/commentary/humor role. Don't worry, if there's some attack by the villains we'll let you use the big guys, but THAT'S IT.
In a way this is kind of a test for you guys too, to see if you can do cool and inventive fights without having super beefed up powerhouses chock full of Doomsday spells. I want to see what kind of crazy potions Illyana uses from her studies in potions class! I wanna see exactly what forms of light magic/wind combos Roy has been working on! I wanna see Sapphire's blood magic be used to full effect (Because honestly, she really hasn't fought much outside of the midterm with Rami and her abilities are pretty neat)! I wanna see what Kris does with his lighting rune now that it isn't controlling him! I want to....well, yeah, you get it.
So, in conclusion of my rather long rant here, the next part of 9HoD will be focusing mostly on the students and their finals. Believe me guys, you'll like the finals I think too. We've got a rather classic, yet still lovable idea for them that anime loving geeks like us will jump for. So in that regard, start thinking of ways you'd use your students in combat. The teachers/evil guys/family members are easy mode. The students are were it's at.
((P.S.: When you're all coming up with ideas for how to develop your characters, be sure to run it past me and Ice first. I'm on more often than he is so you might get faster results talking to me, but I still run everything I get past him so don't forget he's there for PMing as well. We pretty much accept most any suggestions and ideas so long as you ASK US FIRST. Thanks for reading this rant and here's a cookie for all of you *gives out cookies*))
